I had a feeling I would be returning to my reality soon. I'm unsure how soon but that future isn't far from reach. A sort of dread filled me with the thought of leaving, the thought of leaving Karma. It ached for my heart to be in a world without him, but I was afraid of forgetting simultaneously.

Pushing aside my worries, I focused on what was happening at the moment, ignorance is bliss after all. "What are you planning, Karma?"

He had that smirk full of mischief when he turned to me. "Don't worry about it~"

All I could do was worry. I knew he wouldn't hurt me. He's never hurt anyone who hadn't done anything wrong. At least with my morals, I don't think he's done anything wrong. Right?

Not very long after, we arrived at a surprisingly nice house. It seemed lavish and nothing like Karma. The exterior had many ornamental things, and when Karma invited me inside, the interior seemed more lush than the garden we walked through to get to the front door. I'm not sure what I expected, but this lifestyle for Karma was not what I imagined for someone like him. I expected something small and simple to go against his usually unpredictable behavior. Then again, I suppose this lush life is unpredictable for Karma.

Karma locked the door behind me, "No one is home so feel free to make yourself home. Afterall, I'm keeping you here with me until I say you can go~"

I turned around to him, "Wait- are you kidnapping me?"

He laughed while walking towards a plush couch in what I assume is a large living room. My eyes followed him as he plopped comfortably in a seat and patted next to him, inviting me to sit beside him, "You came here willingly so it's not kidnapping. I can promise nothing bad is going to happen."

"I guess I can trust that... But why?" I inquired while taking a seat.

He teasingly leaned onto my shoulder while holding his smirk, "This'll sound a bit creepy but I followed you home one day. You're living arrangement is sad, but I suppose it's only temporary."

"You followed me home...?" I said a bit surprised.

I wasn't sure how I should react to that, I highly doubt he did so with any ill intentions but what reason did he have to follow me in the first place? I can understand he's unpredictable and all sorts of trouble but he hasn't done anything to harm me, and if he wanted to he would have already done so but where can I draw the line?

He smirked, despite his statement, "Don't take it the wrong way, you seemed off one day and I wanted to see if maybe it was you're family or something. After following you, I realized you're not even from this world and you don't have a family but I found out you lived in a small shack by the school. It's sad, and I pitied you. In that case, I decided to just let you stay here."

"What about your parents? And my stuff?" I asked him. He can't expect me to stay here until my time is up, especially if his family swings around.

He ruffled my hair while standing up. Taking me by the hand, he guided me through his mansion of a home and led me to a guest bedroom, "They go on business trips and are hardly ever home, I doubt you'll still be here if they ever do come around... Well either way you can stay here until then. Oh, and your stuff, we can pack them together if you want. The sun is still out, I'm sure we can return before it completely sets."

"You're being nice... I'm not sure how to feel about that. I mean you're usually pretty nice to me but right now it's... a bit unsettling." Typically Karma was always up to something, but his unusual kindness is putting me on edge.

He turned to the door, "I've grown to have a soft spot for you, it's against my will to act like this but I don't mind."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked curious of his intentions.
