I couldn't remember anything. Before I became conscious of my actions, I was walking up the long trail of a mountain to the top. My body felt tingly, and I couldn't understand my existence, what I was doing, or where I was going. Yet one thought became clear to me as if someone commanded me to know this. I had the urge to kill.

I took notice of my attire. A light gray school uniform with black accents and a black tie. Nothing too fancy, yet not too boring. I also had on stockings and Mary Jane shoes. However, I quickly grew a dislike towards my blazer. In a few swift motions, I took off my bag and blazer, stuffed it into whatever space my bag had, and slung it right back onto my shoulders.

I blinked away the confusion that blurred my mind as I took notice of my feet coming to a stop. It was the mountaintop I was hiking up to for the last couple of minutes. The view was relaxing in a sense; the sun peaking through the forest of trees that surrounded an open field. From the position of the sun, I could tell it was the morning.

Breaking through the treeline, I took in my surroundings, loosening my tie in the process. There was a messy dirt path that winded its way to the entrance of an old school building. Looking beyond the building was the open field I saw earlier. The whole area is overgrown and unkept. Clearly, no one was properly taking care of the place, especially since the assumed school building looked abandoned. At least that's what I would have assumed if not for the faint voices I heard inside.

Truth be told, I was a bit nervous. I didn't know why I was here, but at the same time, it felt as though I wasn't allowed to feel anything. After calming down some nerves, I spotted the front entrance, and before I knew it, my feet were walking.

From the outside, the building was rundown and looked like the next breeze would knock it over, but it was much cleaner inside. Surprisingly, there were more rooms inside than I had anticipated. However, I didn't have much time to adjust to the change in scenery and observe my surroundings because my body led me to a specific classroom instead.

My feet finally stopped after getting through the hallway and reaching a classroom with an ongoing lesson. Each action after that point was unsure because of how hesitant I felt. I took notice of the door being slightly cracked open so I peeked inside. The teacher was a strange yellow octopus-like creature.

When I blinked, the creature was making direct eye contact with me. I flinched a bit but immediately after, like a file opened in my brain, I got new information. This creature was my target, he was the teacher known as 'Koro-Sensei'. It is up to me to kill this teacher. That is my goal.

I analyzed the newfound information that kept filling my brain. My thoughts consumed me and I stood frozen but those thoughts were broken when the octopus spoke out to me. "Hello there! Are you perhaps the new student?"

I stared at him blankly. He seemed very energetic and theatrical. It wasn't the personality I expected from the creature that destroyed the moon and planned on doing so to the Earth in a year. That wasn't the most shocking thing, he chose to teach a class while having the students assassinate him. He could easily do anything in this world, yet he chose to be a teacher and pin the students to be his assassins.

"Well, don't just stand there. Come on in!" The octopus said.

He swiftly opened the door and gestured for me to enter. I hesitantly took steps forward. The entire time I got here, my feet moved on their own. But now I was in control. It didn't take long to gain the attention of everyone in the room.

I took steps till I was in front of the octopus. The class had their eyes on me, but I tried not to pay them any attention. They didn't matter to me because they were not a part of my purpose, or my goal. The octopus introduced himself and said his name was Koro-Sensei. A teacher that cannot be killed. It was a fitting name considering what he was capable of, yet not as fitting since I would bring him his end.

"Alright, now go on and introduce yourself," He said.

I turned towards the rest of the class, observing their forgettable faces before my eyes settled on an empty desk in the back. I had no intention of introducing myself. I could hardly even remember my name. What was it again? Right, Phoenix Oceana.

I glanced at my peers, I parted my lips as if to say something, but I bowed and walked toward the empty desk. My classmates seemed thrown off by my actions. There was one boy who had his hair tied up that spoke out. "Um... are you not going to introduce yourself?"

"Or are you too good for us? Did you come from the main building?" The boy next to my desk said.

The tone of his voice was clear to me. He was irritated and annoyed. I didn't answer them and settled into the seat of the desk I now claimed as mine. Before I could start thinking of a plan to kill this teacher, he awkwardly said. "Uh... Well, class, I would like you all to welcome our new transfer student Phoenix Oceana. She comes from out of town!"

Many heads turned towards me, eyes gleaming with curiosity. I did my best to pay no attention to them, there was one thing I needed to complete, and I shouldn't indulge myself with others. That didn't stop them from talking to me, though. If anything, they all pushed past my boundaries many times to fulfill their curiosity.

I felt overwhelmed with multiple people surrounding me. They all started shoving each other to get to my desk. I stiffened up due to the people that boxed me in at my desk. The questions would not stop leaving their lips as they kept going on and on to understand me even just the slightest bit. It was getting frustrating. Thankfully, Koro-Sensei ushered them to get back to their seat before I could lash out at the nearest person.

After they stopped hovering over me, leaving them disappointed by not answering their questions, they returned to their seats. Yet they still spoke about me. Constant whispering, chuckling, gossiping, assumptions, and rumors already started going around the class. It's funny how destructive a single classroom of people can be.

I haven't even spoken a word but it seems my reputation has already tanked itself in seconds. Luckily for me, Koro-Sensei got their attention to prepare for his lesson. Even with his ongoing lesson, I could notice people passing notes back and forth and giggling at what they'd read while glancing back at me.

It doesn't take rocket science to figure out I wasn't liked by the class already. It was uncomfortable and I couldn't help but shift in my seat every time someone looked at me. They were having fun, at least I wouldn't be here long. Koro-Sensei was going to meet his end by my hands.
