That afternoon Miraya was present in the office of Jashn Agnihotri, Shashank's uncle and her best friend Angana's father. A merger was taking place between Agnihotri Consulting Services owned by the Agnihotri family and BrainTech owned by Sameep Anand. Miraya, being the corporate lawyer of the Agnihotri clan, was reviewing the details of the merger carefully to make sure there was no loophole in the contract that could put the Agnihotri's in a difficult position in the future.

Everything was going fine. Nothing about the contract seemed suspicious to her. So she put the files down for a while and stepped out of the cabin to have a break. She already drank eight cups of coffee in the last five hours and yet she needed more caffeine. So she went to the coffee maker and began preparing a cup of coffee for herself. Though interns were in charge of making coffee for the seniors but Miraya craved a very specific taste of coffee that only she could make. So she put the ingredients very carefully and let it get prepared.

Miraya was engrossed in her phone when she felt a hand on her arm. She quickly pushed the hand away and turned around to see Swayam Yaduvanshi. A guy who by relation was her second cousin but that pervert never treated her like a cousin because they were not blood related. So he never missed any chance to flirt with her. And it only made Miraya hate him even more.

Miraya passed him a cold glare before picking up her cup of coffee and she began walking away. But Swayam followed her.

“Miraya, you know, I have talked to my parents to ask for your hand in marriage.”

She wanted to pour the coffee on him for having the audacity to say that. But she composed herself. Not even in her dreams she would waste her coffee on that pervert.

She ignored him and kept walking towards the cabin assigned to her. However, she could still hear footsteps following her. Miraya huffed in annoyance before turning around to put some sense into his empty head. But it wasn't Swayam who was following her this time. It was Shashank.

“Shashank? When did you come?” She asked in confusion.

“Well, I come to the office at sharp nine in the morning.” He replied while glancing at his wristwatch.

Miraya rolled her eyes before saying, “I'm asking when did you come here. And where's that pervert Swayam? He left so easily, I can't believe that.”

“Oh, he left as soon as he saw me.”  He shrugged.

“Of course, he will leave. You are such a giant. Anyone will be afraid of you.” She chuckled while taking a sip of the coffee.

“Why was he flirting with you? He is your cousin, right?” He asked her with a curious undertone.

“Well, we are not blood related. So he wants to marry me.” Just saying it out loud made her feel disgusted. She wondered why that pervert Swayam could actually plan on doing that.

“What an idiot!” Shashank expressed his disgust at the idea.

“I know, we are still cousins even if we aren't related by blood.” Miraya shared her opinion.

“No, I called him idiot because he wants to marry you.” But Shashank Agnihotri, the giant, could never leave a chance to annoy her.

“Excuse me, I'm the sole heir to my father's wealth. And except you, all the bachelors of Awadh want to marry me.” Miraya replied to him quite boldly.

“So you are upset that I don't want to marry you?” Shashank smirked.

“No, I'm grateful. I don't want to marry a giant like you either.” Miraya reciprocated his arrogant smirk.
