Miraya was setting the breakfast on dining table. Shashank was feeding baby food to their two-year-old daughter Naintara. While their parents were chatting amongst themselves. Miraya sat down beside her husband and immediately shrieked looking at what he did.
“Shashank, you ruined your shirt with the baby food. You are worse than a baby,” She pulled out a tissue paper from tissue box and wiped the stain from beneath his collar. But the stain was still visible.
“Arey, I will change later,” he chuckled.
Miraya nodded and began eating the Parantha she made, or I say tried to make. Every Parantha she made looked like a nation's map. Shashank got Sri Lanka, Ruhani got Malaysia, Jodhbir got Egypt, Rudraksh got England, Naintara got China, and Miraya got Japan. But no one pointed out the weird shapes of Paranthas.
After breakfast, little Naintara was given to her Dadi. Shashank and Miraya went upstairs to get ready for work. Shashank changed his shirt and wore his tie and office coat. Miraya also changed into a olive green shirt and black pants.
“I might get late today.” Miraya told him while combing her hair.
“Okay, when will you return?” He asked while going through a file.
“Maybe by midnight. Mr Kulkarni is dividing his assets among his children. It's going to be one hell of an evening meeting today. They keep fighting with each other,” Miraya shook her head. She didn't like that family even a bit. Always fighting over money when they already have more than ninety percent of the population.
“Then just tell them you don't want to handle their legal matters anymore,” He suggested.
“Shashank, I want our fourth generation to attend Harvard too,” She remarked.
Shashank began laughing after hearing that, “Well said, wifey.”
“Kiss me now if you want. I won't let you kiss after I apply lipstick,” She told him while applying some mascara.
Shashank smirked and went to kiss her. He sucked on her bottom lip and then tasted her mouth before pulling away. Miraya applied nude lipstick after that.
“Miraya, I wasn't done yet,” Shashank frowned.
Miraya looked at him, “It's alright. We can kiss again at night.”
“But I want to kiss you now,” And he pulled her closer.
“Shashank, don't mess with me,” She warned him before pulling away from his hold.
Shashank smirked. He swiftly pecked her and picked his laptop bag before running out of the room.
“Shashank!” Miraya yelled after him. He intentionally ruined her lipstick. She re-did her lipstick before heading downstairs while cursing her mischievous husband.
Shashank was already seated in his car when she walked out of the house. She glared at him before heading towards her car. Both of them drove to their respective offices.

Miraya was extremely exhausted when she returned home past midnight after witnessing the feud of Kulkarni family. She entered the bedroom as quietly as possible. Naintara was sleeping in her crib peacefully. Miraya kissed her baby's tiny forehead before entering the closet. She changed into her night suit and then joined her sleeping husband on bed. He was bare chest, much to her pleasure. She peppered kisses all over his chest before closing her eyes.
Around six in the morning, Shashank woke up to find his wife sleeping next to him. He smiled lazily and kissed his sleeping wife. He took his chance and put his hand inside her panties. He stroked her soft skin gently, increasing his pace gradually. Miraya moaned in her sleep. He pulled his finger out after some time and got up from the bed.
Miraya woke up around eight. Shashank was sitting in the balcony and working on his laptop. Miraya yawned and got up from the bed. She went to the balcony and sat down beside him. She put her head on his shoulder.
“I had a dream of you touching my clitoris,” She told him about her confusing wet dream.
Shashank chuckled, “It wasn't a dream. I did touch you a couple of hours ago.”
“Oh, that's why it felt so realistic,” Miraya shook her head and went to the bathroom to get ready.
It was a Sunday so both of them were free. After breakfast, they decided to go for Naintara's shopping. Little Naino was dressed in a white frock and secured on the child seat in the backseat of Shashank's car. Together, they drove to the mall.
They strolled through the baby section of the store, marveling at the colorful array of clothes and accessories. Naino, seated comfortably in her stroller, was curiously observing everything around her with wide eyes. She pointed at a cute little teddy bear on the shelf and babbled excitedly.
"Oh, look at that, Naino wants the teddy bear," Miraya exclaimed, her eyes twinkling with amusement. Shashank chuckled, "Of course, she has good taste like her mom."They picked up the teddy bear along with a few other toys and cute outfits for Naino. As they moved to the next aisle, Naino spotted a display of baby shoes. Her eyes lit up, and she kicked her tiny feet in excitement. They carefully selected a pair of adorable baby shoes in pink with little bows on them, knowing Naino would look adorable in them.
After picking out essentials like diapers, baby wipes, and feeding bottles, they headed to the checkout counter. Naino clapped her hands happily as they paid for their purchases. Once they were back in the car, Naino couldn't contain her excitement. She played with her new teddy bear and tried to put on her tiny shoes with Shashank's help, giggling all the while.
Miraya turned to Shashank with a smile, "I think she's the happiest baby in the world right now."
Shashank nodded, his heart swelling with love for his little family. "Definitely. And she's going to look even cuter in those shoes."

That night Naino slept on her Shashank's chest. Miraya was staring at her sleeping husband and daughter with fascination. Her baby looked so tiny against her father's big frame. Almost resembling a teddy bear. Miraya caressed the foreheads of both of them.
Looking at Naintara sometimes reminded her of Sandhya. The trauma of abandonment had made her hate Sandhya all her life. Now finally she found the courage to forgive her. Maybe because motherhood had softened her heart. And then, looking at Naintara also reminded her of Ritwik Kapoor, her biological father and her foster mother's ex-husband. Miraya didn't tell anyone that Ritwik Kapoor is her biological father. Because she didn't want her mother to get hurt.
“You aren't asleep yet, Mira,” She heard Shashank's sleepy voice.
Miraya smiled and bent down to kiss his forehead, “Both of you look adorable. I want to keep staring at both of you sleeping peacefully.”
Shashank kissed her palm.
“Lie down. I don't my wife to get sick from lack of sleep.”
Miraya laid down beside him. He pulled her closer and she put her head of his shoulder. His one hand gently rested on Naino's back who was sleeping on his chest and the other wrapped around Miraya who also fell asleep in his embrace. Now he himself wanted to keep admiring them. His babies.
After long moments, he closed his eyes. Letting sleep embrace him as he embraced his little family.
