"Y/n, atsushi, dazai. I know who's behind this, let's go."
Back at the same port was the cab with that ex stage actor working as an informant now, kunikida had asked him to come over and he obliged.
"Sorry for the rushed request." Kunikida apologized, stepping in the passenger seat beside the conductor.
"Its quite alright, you said on the phone that you'd figured out who's behind the serial murder case. Are you on your way to arrest the killer?"
"That's right."
"Then let's hurry. But to where?"
The conductor asked, looking at kunikida with his closed eyes that y/n still didn't manage to figure out how the fuck is he seeing shit but let it slide for some odd reason.
Now she was being the one stuck in the middle between atsushi and dazai on the back seats.
"This is where the abductions took place." Kunikida said adjusting his eye glasses. "You are the kidnapper."
Atsushi let out a small audible gasp as he turned to y/n's direction with a questioning gaze.
"trust the process!" She replied before taking out her phone, probably to play on it.
"You dosed passengers with sleeping gas, and abducted them after they fell unconscious. You wore a gas mask." Kunikida kept explaining his theory and boy he was cooking.
"But what were his reasons?" Atsushi asked, being the only one in the cab that wasn't expecting the conductor to be the kidnapper.
"I can think of one, cargos. He could sell them off." Dazai spoke for the first time since they got into the cab, his arms thrown back behind his head resting on them.
"Sell them off?" Asked a curious atsushi.
"Ooooooh! Probably to some black market for organs, you know that shit makes a ton of cash!" Y/n said as she looked at dazai and he nodded, seeing that her theory was correct she smiled.
"The margin isn't great because of the exchange rate, but if you're pulling it off alone, it's a decent payout." Dazai leaned in to wishper to the conductor who was a sweating mess.
"T-thats horrible." Atsushi said, his head kept low.
"Life is hard."
"Wait a minute, hang on. If I'd used this taxi to abduct people, the city police would've found me already when tracing the victims last known locations." The man tried defending himself.
"Yeah he's right,,," y/n said, a frown visible in her features. For a moment, the conductors eyes lit up, seeing that someone managed to believe him, (even if his eyes were still closen). Don't ask how.
",,, if mister ex stage actor really was the kidnapper then he should somehow find a way to prove that the victims weren't lastly seen in his presence, wich probably means creating false proof to make the city police drive off his track. To make that possible, he should've dressed as them right? MISTER EX STAGE ACTOR! and the fact that the people we found at the abandoned hospital were in their underwear, kinda ew... explains everything. But for Sasaki san's case... you didn't even have to dress up as her- bro, are all the human trafficking people that nasty? Or is it that maybe-"
"Y/N!" Kunikida cut out her rambling aggressively turning around to glare at her.
"Sorry sorry. I'll go back at playing project sekai,,"
"Anyways," kunikida too a deep breath. "Like y/n previously said, you'd take in their clothes once unconscious and would wear them to disguise yourself as them, all the Victimes had the same high because you'd choose passengers you could impersonate." Kunikida kept explaining with a calm expression.
