Some girl named Clare

Nikki POV:

Me and Theo are supposed to talk and hang out but instead, he's texting someone on his phone and smiling. Like, hello? Am I some imaginary person to you?

I rolled my eyes and just texted Chloe and Zoey on my phone while eating chips. If he's going to ignore me, I'll do the same. 

They were partners with each other and called me because they didn't want to text. Here's how it went:

Me: Guys, Theo is ignoring me and texting someone on his phone.

Chloe: You deserve better girl. Where are you guys?

Me: We're eating in front of Splash Bites. Well, I am.

Zoey: We're coming, is Theo still ignoring you? I mean, you guys should be riding water slides, not ignoring each other and texting someone else. 

Me: That's what I thought (eye roll). 

Chloe and Zoey: Girl hold still, we're 2 minutes away. I'm going to end the call.

Me: Ok, u-

I didn't get to finish when they hanged up on me. Smart move, girl. I waited for 7 minutes, and then I saw them coming with 3 smoothies.

'Hey girl, we're hereeee!', Zoey sang as Theo finally spoke, he said 'Sorry Nikki, I was texting someone important, let's talk'. 

I looked at Theo with a disgusted look. Who was he kidding? He finally looked up from his phone, boy, it ain't that hard.

Chloe handed me a smoothie and they both sat next to me, starting to slurp their smoothie. Before anyone could say anything, some random girl came to our table, waving at Theo. I was in shock, was he texting this girl? And why is she here? Do they know each other? (picture of Clare is at the top).

Theo looked at the 3 of us and introduced her as a girl called Clare who he lived near before he moved houses when he was 7.

This Clare girl gave me the same up-and-down look Mackenzie would give me. I have a bad feeling about Clare.

She sat next to Theo and faced him to start talking. I felt hurt, Theo looked at me one more time before he started a full-blown conversation. Me and my besties were ignored and in the middle of their conversation, she moved to sit right next to each other.

'Excuse me, let me squeeze through......Ok, phew.' I was embarrassed. Chloe was so bold and Clare didn't look happy. 

'UM, (loud cough), THAT,' she said, pointing to Theo, 'is my guy. Nikki, you're not going to interrupt our talk just because YOU want ATTENTION.' 

I was so sure there was going to be a fight taking place. 

'EXCUSE you, I am not Nikki, even though I wish I could be her,' she giggled a bit. 'I am CHLOE, not NIKKI. Theo, how are you associated with someone so lowly intelligent?'

I could smell drama. Maybe it's time to stop Chloe.

'Sorry about her, she forgot to take her meds this morning, she doesn't know what she's talking about'. I gave Chloe the look to shut up and faked a smile to Clare.

'OH, silly me. YOU'RE Nikki. I knew I smelt something stinky here.' Clare held her nose and waved the air.

'EXCUSE YOU, I'M HER BESTIE AND FIRST OF ALL, I DON'T TAKE MEDS IN THE MORNING. I TAKE THEM AT NIGHT. AND SECOND OF ALL, BACK OFF, IF YOU DON'T WANT A TASTE OF MY KARATE SKILLS. I'M A BLACK BELT AND SO IS ZOEY.' Chloe spitted at Clare. She didn't seem scared though. I would've, Chloe and Zoey are scary when it comes to fighting.

Before Clare could say anything, I dragged my besties away before Zoey could spit at Clare as well (not actually spit, just shout with a dangerous tone). 

Chloe strangled my arm and punched Clare in the face. She grabbed Zoey's smoothie and spilled all of it on Chloe. This was my limit. NO ONE, I mean NO ONE, messes with my besties.
