Dork Diaries-Summer break (COMPLETED)

Sing off! 🎶

Nikki POV:

I can't believe me and Mackenzie are going against each other, Mackenzie talked with the principal but even Mackenzie couldn't sweet talk him out. Apparently, these decisions are final.

I sang Cruel Summer and I think I sang pretty well. Mackenzie sang Dance the Night. She sang so well, I started to worry. One of us wasn't going to go into the next round, and both of us would be sad. 

'AND THE WINNER IS..... NIKKI!!' the principal shouted.

I was shocked, Mackenzie sang so well, how did I win? I looked over at Mackenzie and she smiled at me, gesturing for me to smile and celebrate. 

I hugged her, she did well. 

Here's the next round timetable:

Chloe vs Brandon

Zoey vs Sarah

Jennifer vs Patrick

Brittney vs Ryan

Hayley vs me

I was so glad both Chloe and Zoey made it to the next round, and so did Brandon! I next had to go against Hayley, who apparently, had the best vocals when she sang One Last Time. That song was hard to sing, maybe she'll beat me with my Cruel Summer song.

The next round started tomorrow, today I had to celebrate while I could, if I get beaten.

Mackenzie, Chloe, and Zoey came over to help each other with the competition and Mackenzie was a great advice person, maybe she could join Miss-Know-It-All!

I had a great improvement in my vocals that afternoon. 

Day of the competition:

'And I screamed for whatever it's worth, I love you ain't that the worst thing you ever heard?' I sang, all eyes on me. Adding a few finishing moves, my song was done. I was a nervous wreck, hopefully no one could tell.

'THE WINNER IS.... NIKKI, SINGING CRUEL SUMMER!'

I was shocked, Hayley sang like an angel!

'Are you serious? I sang like an angel, and she sang like a screeching truck', Hayley complained. Rude. I didn't sing THAT bad. 

Here is the timetable for tomorrow's round:

Chloe vs Zoey

Patrick vs Brittney

Since it was an odd number, and apparently, I sang well, whoever lost would verse me while the other person waits for the results. Then, whoever won against me would verse the other person.

I watched Chloe and Zoey sing. 

Chloe sang 'Don't Stop Believin''. Zoey sang: 'Get him back!'

Don't tell Zoey but I thought Chloe sang better. 

'AND THE WINNER IS.... ZOEY SINGING GET HIM BACK!'

I was shocked, maybe I'm wrong about everything. Chloe was upset but glad us two got in to the end. Now Zoey had to go against whoever won between Patrick and Britney. Britney has good vocals and Patrick is like a country guy who sings really well too.

'AND THE WINNER IS.... BRITNEY!!'

Now all I had to do was wait for the judges to decide who I should verse, I heard them whispering earlier.

'That Nikki girl... I heard she's good at singing Cruel Summer. (psssspss).... Zoey... who sang better (psssss).... Brittney.... Get him back.... finals.... (pssss).'

'Okay, Nikki, you will go against Zoey who is singing Get him Back!'

My face dropped, Zoey? 

'You may start now Nikki.'

'I thought I was starting tomorrow', I replied.

For some reason, one of the judges couldn't make it tomorrow so I had to sing today. 

'Fever dream high in the quiet of the night, you know that I caught it,' I started to sing.

When I finished all judges gave me a standing ovation. This is going to be tight, I thought.

After Zoey sang, we waited 8 minutes to see who won.

'AND THE WINNER IS.... NIKKI!!'

Now I was REALLY shocked, maybe this is too much shock for someone a day? Me over ZOEY?! I must be dreaming. 

'You did so good', Zoey said. 

I smiled and the next day, I sang against Brittney. Whoever won this, would win the winner for the whole thing and would win $10,000!! I was so nervous my knees were shaking. Brittney's vocals are so much better than mine, and I'm brave enough to admit that.

After 10 minutes:

'AND THE WINNER IS......'

My teeth started chattering even though I was cold. My knees were so wobbly I would've fell off any time soon. My head was spinning, not a lot, but nervously.
