I rolled over in the bed. Wait. Bed? When did I get in a bed? The last thing I remember was being in the truck disagreeing with Kane about animal crackers. I stretched and rubbed my eyes. I sat up and looked around. I was in the same room I'd been in before. Kane walked into the room and smiled when he noticed I was awake. "When did I get in the bed?" I asked.

"You fell asleep on the way here. I tried to wake you up, but you kept mumbling about a little troll and slapping at me. I just carried you in after that." He held a bag up. "I got you some clothes that'll actually fit you." He added. I nodded as I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Do I talk in my sleep?" I found myself asking. He gave me a look then shook his head.

"No, at least not when I've been around and awake. You kind of did last night, but that was just when I tried to wake you up. That's what you were mumbling about. Something about little trolls trying to wake you up and steal your dreams." I just nodded.

"Can I ask you something?" I glanced back up at Kane with a nod. "Do you really not like me?" I blinked at him. Did he really believe that? "I mean, you say you don't like me, but you act like you do." He added. I crawled into his lap.

"What do you think?" I whispered against his lips.

"Actions speak louder than words and your actions seem to indicate that you like me." He mumbled. I smiled as I put my hands on his neck.

"A lot of times, I say things I don't mean." I admitted. His arms slowly wrapped around my waist. "What about you? Do you like me?" I asked. He slowly nodded causing our noses to brush. I smiled as I finally closed the distance between us causing his arms to tighten around me. I groaned and arched my back into him as I felt his hands slide up the back of my shirt.

"Oh shit. Sorry." Somebody mumbled. I huffed as I pulled away from Kane completely. My eyes widened when I looked up and saw Darren standing beside a wide-eyed Kasey. I nudged Kane to get him to look. His eyes widened slightly at the sight of his sister.

"I just wanted to talk." She finally mumbled. Kane nodded and motioned for her to come in. I stood up from the bed.

"I'll give you two some privacy." Kasey shook her head to stop me.

"I came to apologize. I shouldn't have acted like I did. You didn't purposely hurt Linda. You were right when you said that she had no reason to be at your door." Kane just gave her a look. I sat back down beside him and took his hand.

"It's just, Linda has had this crush on you for as long as I can remember. I used to hate it. I used to think she was only my friend because of you. Then," She glanced at me. "Then the accident happened. If she wasn't really my friend, then she wouldn't have stuck by me through everything. I was horrible to her at times through that. She's just so sensitive and I feel protective over her. It made me so angry to see her crying and all because of my brother." She was pacing now. "I knew you never liked her. I even tried to tell her that. I knew about the kiss. She'd told me. I tried to tell her that you were too drunk. She just never listened to me." She stopped pacing and looked at Kane. "She's in love with you." Kane froze.

Kasey looked down to where Kane and I's hands were still connected. She looked around the room. "Matching hats." She mumbled. "I really thought you were just some fling when I saw you." She told me. "He's never really brought girls around. Grandma was starting to think he was gay. But from what I saw about to happen, that ain't true. Well, there was Haley once." Kane quickly snapped out of whatever was going on with him.

"Kasey." He snapped. She quickly stopped talking and looked down.

"Sorry. Sometimes I talk too much." She mumbled. I looked between them. Who was Haley?
