"Hello?" I asked as I answered my phone. Kane made a motion letting me know he was leaving the room. I nodded at him.
"Where the hell are you?" Liz demanded causing me to sigh.
"Out." I replied.
"Well, you're brother is looking for you. He came by here asking for you, but I haven't seen you since you left yesterday. He said that you came home, but by the time he woke up, you were already gone." She explained. I sighed again and rubbed my forehead.
"Did he say what he wanted?" I asked. She made a noise.
"No, he just seemed like he needed you. I asked but he wouldn't tell me." I nodded.
"Okay, I'm leaving now. I'll go see what he wants." I mumbled before hanging up.
I looked around the house until I found all the guys sitting in a living room-like area around a huge television. Nobody even looked up. They were all too busy watching whatever someone was playing. I looked around the room, my eyes landing on Kane. He had a controller in his hand and was smiling. I slowly made my way closer then sat down beside him. He paused the game and looked at me.
"Can you take me home?" I asked. He studied me for a few minutes. He grabbed something off the couch beside him and tossed it at me. My eyes widened when I caught it and realized it was car keys.
"It's the big black one with the tinted windows we were in the other day." He mumbled turning his attention back to the game he was playing. I just stared at him. "You should quit staring and go." I could see a smirk on his lips.
"Okay, I'll be back later then." I mumbled as I stood up.

I tried to calm myself down as I knocked on the door. Darren's eyes narrowed when he opened the door and saw me in tears. "Kane." He yelled. I pushed past him into the house glancing behind me again. I ran straight into Kane's arms as soon as he walked into view.
"What the hell?" I heard him ask over my sobs. "Phoenix." He whispered as he rubbed a hand over my hair soothingly. I fisted my hands into his shirt as he tried to push me back.
"No." I cried.
"Shhh. It's okay. You're safe now." He whispered as he wrapped his arms around me.
"What happened?" I heard someone else ask. I felt Kane shrug.
"But I'm going to find out. Then, I'm going to make whoever made her cry like this pay. They're seriously going to regret it." Kane growled.
"Can we go to your room?" I asked through sobs.

"Phoenix, you have to tell me what happened." Kane whispered. I'd calmed down enough to talk. Kane handed me a glass of wine to help calm me down. He was sitting on the toilet while I relaxed in the bathtub. Warm bubble baths helped me relax. I hadn't wanted to be too far away from him and he didn't want to leave me after how upset I'd been. I'd clung to his shirt for a good thirty minutes.
"I went home. Liz called me telling me that my brother was looking for me. I found my dad at home. Mom's letting him move back in. We all three argued. I finally just stormed out of the house." I clenched my eyes shut. "I was on my way back here. A big vehicle with really tinted windows pulled out in front of me. But, I had enough time to stop. This guy got out." My grip on the glass tightened. "He yanked my door open and pointed a gun at me." I finally looked at Kane with wide eyes. "I thought he was going to shoot me."
