I leaned over and kissed Kane's cheek. "Thanks." I whispered. He raised an eyebrow at me. "For yesterday. My mom's probably going to freak out since I never came home or called. I had fun." I explained. He just smiled as he leaned closer. I watched him closely. We were sitting outside of Liz's house. Although, his windows were really tinted so nobody could see inside the car. He softly kissed me.

"Thanks for letting me rant about my sister and not asking questions." He mumbled against my lips as he pulled away. I shrugged.

"You'll tell me when and if you're ready to." He smiled at me.

"This is why I like you." I laughed.

"I thought it was because I tell you when you're being a jerk and annoying." I reminded him. He nodded.

"Yeah, that too." I shook my head with a laugh.

"I'll see you later. I better go talk to Liz now. She's probably mad I didn't come sooner." He just waved as I climbed out of his car.

"Whose car is that?" I jumped at the sound of Liz's voice.

"Why are you standing there all creepy like?" I asked motioning to where she stood by the mailbox.

"I was just walking up to my house and was going to check the mail." I rolled my eyes.

"A friend's." I answered her first question.

"The same friend you were with last night?" I nodded. "You spent the night with them?" She asked. She was almost shrieking. I nodded with a shrug.

"He's not a stranger. I know him." I defended. "He's a great guy." I added. She just gave me a weird look. "Anyways, I told you we'd talk later about that picture you sent me." I reminded her. She nodded as she grabbed the mail.

"Yeah, someone even posted more of him with this mystery girl. You just can't see her face in any of them. That's why it's become such a big deal. Everybody wants to know who this mystery girl is." I just looked at her.

"Everybody?" She nodded as we walked inside.

Liz pulled up her snapchat as soon as we were on the couch. "Okay, so I sent you the one of him dancing with some girl, but that's not the only one that was posted." I gave her a look. "They had some party for his brother, and people were documenting the party." She explained as she pulled up another picture. This one was of Kane and I kissing. Again, all you could see was the back of my head. I bit my lip. Good thing I didn't have any tattoos or anything. "People really want to know who this girl is. Someone said he left Ricky's party with some girl with this hair color. Someone else said they saw him out around town with some girl with the same hair color. Nobody knows who it is. It's a big mystery." I just nodded.

"Do you still have a crush on him?" I found myself asking. She gave me a weird look.

"Why would you ask that?" She asked giving me a suspicious look. I shrugged.

"Just trying to figure out why you care who he's been seen around town with." I lied. She looked down thoughtfully. Please say no. Please say no.

"No. I think I finally got over him when I met Billy." I just gave her a look. Billy was nowhere close to being as hot, cute, or adorable as Kane Wallace. "Do you have a crush on him?" My eyes widened at her question.

"Of course not. Why would you even ask? I can't stand him." I replied. She just smiled at me.

"I was just wondering. You have the same hair color as this girl in these pictures." I wrinkled up my nose.

"Don't even go there with me. I'd rather be sitting in a jail cell with Crystal."

"So, you've heard how famous we are in town?" Kane asked. I laughed as I laid back on my bed.

"Yeah, Liz started talking about it as soon as we were in her house." I replied. "By the way, she's over her little crush on you." I heard a weird noise through the phone. "Are you okay over there?" I asked.

"Yeah, just a fucking idiot." He yelled. I could tell he wasn't yelling that at me though. He was making sure whoever it was had heard him as well. "What do you say we mess with them a little bit?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" I pushed my dog away from my face. "Get out of my face." I told her.

"What the hell are you doing?" He snapped.

"I was talking to my dog. I don't want doggy kisses all over my face." I laughed.

"Oh, well, we should start posting pictures with each other on snapchat, but don't show each other's faces. Like I post a picture of us, but people can't see your face." He explained. I hummed.

"Yeah, I like that idea. It'll get people going for sure." He laughed.

"Are you at home?" He asked.

"Yeah, my mom hasn't been home, yet. I know when she does it'll be an argument but I had nowhere else to go." I mumbled.

"You could've just called me. I'd have come picked you up from wherever you were. You can always stay with me." He offered.

"I'll think about that. I have to face my mom eventually, and sooner is better. For now, I should probably shower." Kane made a noise causing me to laugh. "Are you thinking about me naked?" I asked.

"No." I could tell he was lying. "Okay, not really." I made a noise. He was still lying. "Fine, I was thinking about you naked in my bed." He finally admitted. I rolled my eyes with a laugh.

"I have to go. I'll talk to you later." I mumbled before hanging up.

After I'd left Liz's house, I'd gone straight home. I hadn't wanted to sit around Liz's house and talk about Kane. I'd end up saying something I didn't want to say. I didn't want what was happening between Kane and me to get out to the whole town. I didn't want anybody sticking their noses in our business. Besides, it was just physical. No feelings involved. All we were doing was having sex, with a few kissing here and there. If that was the case, why'd he call me just to talk? Why'd he offer to let me stay with him? Well, we could have more sex if we were together all the time. I shook my head. I was going to end up overthinking things.

I jumped at a sound by my window. I heard the sound again. I realized after the third time that it was something hitting my window. I slowly made my way closer and peeked out. Kane was outside of my window smiling at me. I rolled my eyes as I opened the window. "What are you doing here?" I asked looking at the time. It was two in the morning.

"We're going on a late-night adventure. You said I needed to show the real me to people. I'm choosing you." He replied. I just blinked at him. "Put some damn shoes on and come on." He snapped. I glared at him as I slipped some shoes on. He studied me. "You got a dark jacket with a hood on it?" He asked. I nodded and grabbed my jacket out of the closet. "Good. Let's go." I rolled my eyes again as I climbed out of my window.
