I became the school topper,
Like they asked,
But it wasn't enough.
I got a scholarship,
Like they expected,
But it wasn't enough.
I got into a good college,
Like they hoped,
But it wasn't enough.
I studied hard,
Like they wanted,
But it wasn't enough.
I did the house chores,
Like they said,
But it wasn't enough.
I completed college with honours,
Like they desired,
But it wasn't enough.
I got a job,
Like they wished,
But it wasn't enough.
No matter what I do,
For them,
It's never enough.
Should I just disappear?
Into thin air?
Maybe then I'll finally be enough?
