Wally quickly raced out of school as soon as the bell rang and immediately rushed to make his way towards Gotham. It was early February and he had planned to go out shopping with his best friend for a gift for Artemis.

Once he arrived at the meeting spot at Gotham, he quickly made it inside the shop to find Dick there waiting for him.

"It's about time! Come on, I think I know what to get for Zatana." Dick chuckled, the two boys looking around the store. All over were lots of Valentine's day gifts, candy, and balloons.

"So, I'm guessing you're finally gonna ask her out?" Wally teased.

"Says the one that's just now catching feelings for Arty." Dick laughed back.

"Hey, hey, I'm just being nice! Getting a little special something for a friend." Wally defended as they walked through the stuffed animal section.

He then stopped in front of one stuffed teddy bear in particular. He smiled, taking it off of the shelf. He then turned to see Dick picking out one as well.

"I was thinking about making a basket for her, if you want to go with the same idea. Just grab a pink basket and fill it with all sorts of things." Dick said, walking towards the candy section.

"Nah, I'll just give Artemis this with some chocolate and flowers." Wally smiled, nodding towards the bear he held.

Once the two reached the checkout line, both their arms full, Wally began to search around in his pockets for his wallet. Dick had soon already paid for his stuff, waiting on Wally, when he noticed Wally hadn't remembered to bring his wallet.

The lady crossed her arms as she watched him try to find his wallet. She then looked over at the line of people behind him. "Anytime today, please." She coldly said.

At that moment, Wally felt a sudden urge to just speed off without paying anything. He knew he couldn't do that, he knew it would be wrong. He also knew he could always just come back later or ask his friend for help.

But he gritted his teeth, and without thinking, grabbed all the stuff he was gonna buy and just sped off and away from the shop, alarms going off after him.

"Here, I'll pay for it, and I'm so sorry! I have no idea what just happened, he usually never steals." Dick hurriedly said, paying the lady and taking off after Wally.

Dick huffed and puffed, out of breath, as he ran into the cave. He immediately found Wally sitting curled up on his bed in his room of the cave, crying.

"Wally! Hey, what happened? Why did you just steal? You know it wasn't right!" He questioned, making his way over and sat on the bed next to him.

"I-I don't know! I don't know, I panicked! Something just came to me, just took control of me." Wally explained.

"What do you mean took control of you? You usually aren't like this." Dick softened.

"I know, and I'm sorry! Pl-Please don't tell mom and dad, or uncle Barry."

"I won't, but just tell me what's going on?"

"Th-The cops weren't called on me, right?" Wally wondered, taking a deep breath.

"No, I paid for it. Which, why didn't you just ask for my help? What's going on?" Dick pushed on.

Wally bit his lip and looked over at the hand mirror that he left sitting on the bed stand. He wondered if maybe somehow the mirror had anything to do with it.

He took in another deep breath, not bothering to look away from the mirror.

"Th-The m-mirror. I think it had something to do with the mirror." Wally then said.

"The mirror?" Dick questioned. He then followed Wally's eyes to see the gold mirror sitting on the table. He picked it up and held it in his hand, staring questionably at it. "This thing? What about it?" He questioned more, looking at Wally dumbfounded, who stared back at him, biting his lip more.

"It isn't just anything ordinary once you open it." Wally then went on, feeling himself getting nervous.

Dick sighed and opened the mirror, only to gasp and widen his eyes once he saw the vision that Wally had seen. He stared into it, trying to think of what kind of magic could have possibly been attached to it.

"Wally, where did you get this?"

"Nowhere! I found it!" Wally lied. He wanted to tell the truth, to tell him everything. About Joker, about it all that had happened. But he couldn't, something held him back at that moment from saying anything at all.

The two were then stopped by Batman's voice suddenly heard, calling everyone in the main room for a mission assignment.

"We'll talk about this when we get back, come on." Dick said, now leaving the room, setting the mirror back down.

Wally followed behind, when he suddenly felt a pain in his head. He groaned, hearing a voice in his mind as he laid a hand over the side.

"Soon, you'll be my control." The voice said.

Wally slowly smiled, his eyes turning a light pinkish red.

"Yes. Of course, almighty Joker." He whispered out loud.

"Wally! Come on!" Artemis shouted from the hall, catching Wally out of his thoughts with a gasp, his eyes turning back to his normal green.
