(And after this, one more episode and this series is finished! After that, I know I have one more book lined up! I hope you'll enjoy it as it prepares me to write the sequel to a book with an insane amount of characters. Enjoy the two-part finale!)
The heroes were resting where they were defeated and trying to figure out what they could do next. They couldn't give up, but they weren't sure what they could do next. Everything was looking bleak.
"Come on, I have to get up" Star whimpered in pain as she tried to pick herself up only to fall.
"Easy, you can't do anything like this. You're hurt" Marco eased her as he went to her side.
"But Tom took my charm. He's going to hurt other people" Star explained as she looked at him, "And Lapis is alone. She's alone with that being of chaos. I can't leave her alone when I can do something to help her"
She picked herself up again but fell back. Janna helped her again and wasn't sure about her friend going off like this. She didn't want Star to get hurt anymore.
"Come on, Star. Please don't do this. You need to rest and think about this before trying to save your friend. You can't save Lapis nor stop the being of chaos like this" Janna advised strongly as Star shook her head.
She wasn't going to give up. Not when her friend needed her most and with the being of chaos running around. She has to do something. She picked herself up again and walked forward, but she noticed the area around herself was getting hotter. When did it get so hot?
"Where did this heat come from?" Marco asked as he took off his red jacket and tied it around his waist.
Star recognized this heat and gasped. She pushed Marco and Janna back to avoid an incoming ball of fire! Marco hit his back as Janna fell forward.
"Star!" Janna shouted as Inferno hovered before her with his claymore on his shoulder while laughing.
"Tom..." Star said weakly as she looked at him sadly.
"Hello Star" Tom greeted as he looked down on her, "How are you? Feeling weak?"
"Tom please give back my charm" Star replied as she held her hand out to him, "I have to stop him and help Lapis. I can't do that without that charm"
He laughed at her and shook his head.
"Oh, I am afraid I cannot do that" he said with a smirk, "You didn't listen to me. You didn't bother to take my advice. You weren't there for me!"
He effortlessly held his claymore in front of himself to let powerful, blazing, raging fire burning from it. Star didn't move as Tom, Janna, and Dr. Ford were standing behind her. She glanced at them and then looked at Tom.
She sighed as she realized that their relationship was both their faults. She wasn't speaking her truth nor listening to his pain. He wouldn't listen to her and never talked with her about his troubles.
"Tom, I am sorry" she said to him before realizing she fell to her knees, "I should've talked with you. I should've tried to listened to you. You were right about that. You didn't listen to me either and didn't think to ask me if I wanted this wish. This is our fault, but please don't do this. Do take your pain out on them. If you have to take it out on someone, then take it out on me, but I am sorry"
He glared at her before drawing his claymore back and swung it with all of his might.
"Star/Move!" Marco and Janna urged her as she closed her eyes and waited for the attack to hit her.
She expected to be burnt, but she heard a loud, crack of lightning with a flash of lightning.
"I am so glad I got here just in time!" Jay's loud, relieved voice spoke, "I didn't think this would work, but that book is stronger than I thought. It also makes sense why he had everyone wear that charm. He stored us in the charm and book, so we could come and help them!"
