Hello all!! The results are in. We received over 100 submissions but unfortunately, we can only choose 30 to move to Round 2. I hope you all realize that it was a difficult decision to make, especially with so many talented writers. As a consolation prize, we are offering all contestants a free critique of their story. We should warn you in advance that our critiques are harsh but helpful. If you want to claim this free critique, just send us a PM saying so. We will try to get back to you as soon as time permits.

Round 2: All contestants must write 15 more pages of their stories at least by April 30, 2013, meaning that you will have 20 pages overall. Think of this as a way to challenge your skills as you prepare for a deadline. The top fifteen of those 30 contestants will go on to the next round. This round will be judged by a combination of votes their story gets as well as the judges' preferences.
*Remember to keep up with your page numbers, because we will disqualify if it does not meet requirements. Also, Take note that Round 3 requires short stories as well as part of your story. So make sure you keep writing!
Congratulations,
The Write Awards Team
