Okay so you've made it this far. Great. You know the basics of writing and how to tell a fairly good story so what's next?

In Round 3, we are going to put your writing skills to the test. You've shown us that you can write your own story, but what about writing ours? We're going to give you 3 writing prompts for short stories. These short stories will show us how well you can write outside your genre, how creative you can get with a sentence, and how good of a story you can write.

A writing prompt will be messaged to you each week in your private wattpad inbox. For each prompt, you'll have ten days to write the story. The story can be any length from 100 words to 3000 words. You'll be asked to copy and paste (not attach) your story into a message to be emailed to us at our Gmail account: thewriteawards@gmail.com  Make sure to include your username!

Also, for each writing prompt, there will be a first place winner and two runner-ups. Winning one short story competition does not mean you've won a place in Round 4. You must complete ALL requirements to make it to round 4.

Check your inboxes in about 30 minutes. The first prompt is out!
