Chapter VIII: Invitation to love

It's another night where Yoongi and Jimin hold hands on their way home. They spent hours talking at the store and now the vampire is making sure the boy is safe while walking through these dark streets. He's actually been trying to bring up a certain topic but it's not that easy since he doesn't wanna make Jimin upset. Lucky for him, the brown haired boy gives him the perfect opportunity for it.

- Yoonie, when we get home can you remind me to check my email?

- Sure, you expecting something?

- My cousin said he sent me something and I should check it out

Perfect. Yoongi pretends to make a question subtly even though he's extremely interested.

- Your cousin? You never tell me about him...

- It's not like I see him very often. It's been a few years since I visited him

- Is he not from around here?

- He's from Busan. Actually I used to live there too when I was born. Then my parents moved here and we stayed in Seoul for several years until...

Jimin stops talking. His own voice refuses to come out when thinking of things like these.

- Jiminie?

- Let's change the subject...Ah, right. I wanted to ask you if you wanna stay over tonight

Yoongi looks his way. Usually the boy is excited when asking that question. But this time he won't even smile. It's like Jimin knows the answer will be negative again. And Yoongi would hate to disappoint his pretty boy. So maybe he could break a rule for once...

- I'll stay

Jimin's eyes open so wide it makes the vampire laugh seeing him.

- Really?! You're not joking?!

- Not at all, beautiful

- Yeeeey!!! Let's go! We'll have the best night of our lives, Yoonie!

The younger can't stop his excitement as he starts walking faster than before. However, Yoongi has to stop him for a minute. If he's gonna do this, he'll need some help. He asks Jimin for a moment and walks back a few steps while taking out his cellphone. The call is picked up almost immediately.

- Hello Daddy! Since when do you call? You miss me?

- Tae, I need to ask you a favor

- Anything you want!

- I need you to go to my office in the hospital. In the last drawer of my desk I have....things. I need you to bring me one of them.

- Like...Right now? I'm on my way to a date! Is it urgent?

Yoongi stares at Jimin. If he takes his words back the boy will be disappointed. So he sighs before insisting.

- I need it before sunrise...please

- Daaaamn it must be important. Okay! On my way!

- Thanks, I owe you one

- ...You don't owe me anything, Yoongi

His last phrase was way too genuine. Of course as soon as he's done saying it, Tae hangs up. Yoongi then sends his location to the young boy so he can find him and while he's at it he makes sure to let Jin know they should go to Busan for their mission.

When Jin answers his text, he realizes something. He'll have to leave the city for who knows how long. He's noticing Jimin is feeling insecure with him lately. And he can't blame him. They only see each other at night and sometimes it's only for a few minutes since Yoongi has to do many things for the hospital and for his Clan. No wonder the boy doesn't believe he's Yoongi's priority.
