Chapter XII: Scared of us

Jungkook is crying again to no one's surprise. All he wants right now is to get to Busan, so he can eat ice cream in his bedroom while watching romantic movies that will break his heart. And of course, he'll eventually help his Namjoon Hyung with work to take his mind off what happened. Realizing he ran out of tissues, he heads towards the bathroom go get some paper. Since it's occupied, he waits by the door.

His mind goes back to Tae. A vampire. Why did he have to fall in love with a vampire? Even a human would've been more convenient! The door opens and he feels the world stop. Right in front of him, Tae is standing with glossy eyes like he was just crying a minute ago. Kook's heart beats a little faster. He'll never get used to how beautiful he looks up close.

- Tae! You-

He can't even end the phrase before the boy is pulling him from the shirt and locking him in the bathroom with him. There's not much space in there, they can barely fit standing face to face. And having him so close makes Kook stare at the mark on Tae's neck. It's covered with makeup but he can faintly see it. It looks pretty on him. Like everything does.

- Jeon. What the fuck are you doing here? We said we wouldn't see each other again!

- Me?! What are you doing here?!

- I have to go to Busan with my family for some mission shit

- Your fam...Please don't tell me the train is filled with vampires

Jungkook can't help to slightly panic. He might not be as scared of Tae. But other vampires? What if they kill him?!

- I wouldn't say it's filled, honestly. Why? Oh God, there's not more wolves than you is there?!

- There might be one more...but it's my Hyung! He's... he's a great guy!

Kook half lies. Because sure, Namjoon is a lovely man. But his wolf...if he finds out there's vampires on the train, he'll come out to eat them alive. He loves attacking vampires.

- Perfect. Then this is just a coincidence. We'll get there, split ways, never see each other again, problem solved!

Hearing those words, Kook can't help feeling a lump in his throat. To know this will end. To see that clearly Tae wasn't dying to see him again like he was. He nods, unable to let any words out. And in front of him, he hears a soft cry.

- Tae? Baby I'm sorry, I'll take it back! We can see each other any time you want!

- I don't...Shit! Why this keeps fucking happening?! What did you do to me?

- What are you talking about?

- Not that, dumbass. My heart! Since that night I keep wanting to cry and right now I just wanna eat ice cream. And vampires don't eat ice cream!

While Tae cleans his own tears feeling sad and upset, Kook opens his eyes wide realizing what's happening.

- Oh shit...

- What? W-What does it mean? Oh God, I'm not gonna die am I?!

- No, no! Tae I would never let you die

- Late haha but then what is it?

- You're just...you're having all the symptoms of our new bond. Your body is accepting me as your mate
