THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS. ALL THE DAMN TIME. First Pedri sees a long blonde haired girl, he thinks it's Carmen, his eyes widen at the thought of seeing her again, a smile creeps onto his face, she turns around, and she's nothing like the girl he was in love with.
And when he sees a blonde girl with short hair he thinks that maybe Carmen decided to chop of her long hair, which he highly doubts Carmen would do that, but at the end of the day things change and Pedri doesn't know her anymore.
Carmen is a mom now and he is a official legit football player like she always believed he would be. He doesn't know what flowers she's picking out of the garden right now, he doesn't know if she's even still likes to pick flowers up (he believed she still does).
It's been around two years now and Pedri thought about Carmen's baby more than he would like to admit. Is it a boy or a girl? Are they anything like Carmen? Do they like football? Would they like playing football with him? Do they have blonde hair? What did she name them? What's their birthdate? Were they born in the morning or at night?
All these unanswered questions filled Pedri's mind he believed that it was a girl with also long blonde hair and she was born early in the morning. He couldn't help but think what his life would've been like if he had argued a little bit more with Carmen and got her to agree for them to raise the child together. He cursed his 17 year old self everyday for not fighting to spend the rest of his life with the love of his life.
"It's not her Pedro" His thoughts were completely cut off by his older brother Fernando. "uh mhm what" Questioned Pedri as he took his eyes of the unfamiliar woman. He took a second to process what his brother said "I know I know" Fernando was on of the lucky people who got to witness Carmen and Pedri, so he was one of the few people who knew what happened between them, including his parents.
"I wasn't even thinking about her" stated Pedri, or should I say lied Pedri, while Fernando just nodded at him giving him a uncertain "yeahh" indicating that he did not believe his younger brother. "What are you doing today after this?"
Fernando took Pedri out for breakfast to have some brotherly time, as they both thought they weren't spending enough time with each other. "I don't know, I'll probably just hang out with gavi, play fifa and then I'll have to go home to Maya" Said Pedri with a shrug.
"Do you have training tomorrow?" Asked Fernando "mhm" Pedri's answer was short and simple as he was eating the eggs in the plate in front of him.
"She's probably doing well"
Pedri removed his gaze from the plate on the table to his brother who was sitting on the opposite side of him, right in front him. Carmen was a touchy subject that they tried not to mention, so Pedri was surprised to the sudden mention of her.
