"mum please! one comp?" i hear my brother scream from the other room, waking me up. "come on mum just one i promise." his voice is shaking so much that you'd think he seizing.
the bright sun shines in my room bring a yellow-ish glow to my room i share with my younger sister, honey. i don't mind sharing a room with honey in fact, i was the one who ask if i could.
i stand from my bed, getting a bit light headed from rising to fast. after i gain my balance, i walk in to the living room where my mom and brother are arguing. "see you've woke you sister up." she points to me after hearing my steps.
i raise my hands up in surrender, "i was already up." i walk to get a glass of milk as they continue to argue. rubbing my eyes, i hear someone walk towards me.
"em, if i do this comp, will you join with me?" he pleads. i know if i say no, he will be upset and plus i really want to do the comp as well.
i turn to them, taking a sip of the milk in my glass and nod, "sure i mean, i've missed comps so why not?" he smiles and pulls me into a hug. i hug him back, making sure not to spill my milk in the process.
"ok so it's settled, emery does the comp with you and then after you will rest." ari nods, going over to hug our mom and thanking her.

ari and i grab our boards and strap them to our bikes, getting ready to go to the beach to practice, already in our wet suits. i see ari being kind of hesitant to get on his bike"you ready to get back out there ari?" i ask him with slight concern lacing my tone as i put a hand on his shoulder.
he looks over at me and nods "yeah just a bit nervous is all, not clucked." he gives me a small smile and i return it, getting on my bike as we ride toward the beach.

after surfing, we get back home and unload our boards, putting them into the garage. we eat dinner, talk about how well ari did surfing today and then we all break off into our respective rooms.
i walk into my room to see honey drawing at her desk. i walk over behind her and give her a hug around her shoulders. "hey hon, i'm going to shower but when i get back i wanna see your drawing ok?" she nods and i kiss her cheeks.
after my shower i go back to my room seeing honey laying down asleep in her bed. i giggle knowing she tired her hards to stay awake to show me but couldn't. i walk over to my bed and plop down on my bed, sleep overtaking me in seconds.
