when we get home, dad tells ari to get summers bags and show her to her room, well ari's too but summer's for now. i grab our bikes and boards, with honeys help of course, and then head to the kitchen to help mum with dinner.

mum and ari are having a heated conversation about ari doing another comp. i look over at summer and see her asleep. i kick her leg under the table and she jolts up looking around, "hey summer, why don't you go to bed, your exhausted babe." she looks at me and nods and walks off to her room.

ari, mum, and dad keep arguing and i'm not even paying attention. after i finish i asked to be excused and walk to my room and read.

after a while, honey comes in and goes to bed. i hear a knock on the door. i get up to open it and i see summer standing on the other side, her shirt moving a bit due to the wind. "hey emery, poppy invited me to a party at her place, she said to bring you so you coming or what?" she asks me dancing a little bit.

i laugh and look over at honey, who is fast asleep on her bed, "uh yeah sure why the hell not. let me get dressed. see you in ten?" i ask her. she nods and walks to her room.

ten minutes later, i walk out of my room with some black baggy low rise cargo pants, a black spaghetti strap lace corset top, and my black and white dunks. i put on some gold hoops, stacked my favorite necklaces and some chunky gold rings. i decided to keep my hair natural, wavy.

i go to summers room and knock on the door. summer opens it and looks at me with wide eyes, "ok emery gibson, i didn't know you could dress like that!" she put some emphasis on 'that'.

i thank her as she grabs her skateboard and we leave the house. "oi, wait up!" i hear behind me. i turn around and low and behold there's my twinnie.

he asks us 'what are you doing' with a look of concern. i open my mouth to answer but summer beat me to it, "checking out this party, your friend bohdi invited me, you too actually." ari stands there dumbfounded.

he points to himself, "bohdi specifically said i could come?" he asks like a dumbass. i know ari has a thing for bodes but i also know that bodes has a think for eliza and eliza has a thing for her and i don't want to get in the way of any of them because i love all three of them.

i walk closer to summer, "except she wasn't frothing at the mouth like that." summer says, making me hold in a laugh.

i look at ari and even in the dim street light his face is still bright red, "what about our folks, did they say you could?" i shrug and wrap my arm around summer's shoulder.

summer wraps her arm around my waist and look back at ari. "i don't need permission from your guys parents, but your a good kid who does what he's told, even when his dreams are being crushed so, you should stay." she then turn which made me turn and then we walk away from ari.

we barely make it three feet before ari speaks again, "just wait, wait. let me get some pants." i nod forgetting he didn't have any on.

after a few minutes he walks out of the house, with pants on and joins us on our wall to poppy's.

when we get to the party, summer slows down a bit, "oh ok, i can work with this." i laugh. me and her are going to be great friends, i can feel it.

i hear someone singing and it sounds familiar so i look around for the person who is singing and i see marlon on the swinging chair, playing the ukulele. god he looks so- no no ma'am he hurt our brother.

i look back over at summer, seeing her look around. "ok sum sum you have fun, you too twinnie, we're not here to be sad cheer up mate." i bring my hands to his face to put a fake smile on him using my hands. he swats them away walking off to get a drink.

i'm just vibing by myself until i feel someone grab my waist. "hey ems, why do you always look so hot?" i can smell the alcohol on her breath.

"me? your the hot one, eli! all of you!" i point to the three girl in front of me. suddenly we hear 'couch party' by skegss start to play. "oh this is my shit! come on!" i grab poppy's hand. out of all of the girls, me and poppy are the closest. i don't know why but i could have to do with the sexual tension between bohdi and eliza.

everyone is dancing and having a great time, except ari. i look up and see marlon coming over to me. i'm in such a good mood, i don't even mind. "hey princesa, get on my shoulders!" he tells me.

at this point, i'm in such a good mood that i agree and get on his shoulders. he hold onto my thighs, sending chills all through my body.

after a few songs, i get off marlon's shoulders. i go to get me a drink when i see him walk over and join me. "emmy you look great tonight." i don't move my eyes from the bar as i get a soda.

i'm still not looking at him as i open the can, "so i look like shit the rest of time? good to know." i look him dead in the eyes and he stumbles back a bit, not expecting me to say that.

he looks worried as he speaks again, "no it's just i normal see you in a wetsuit so seeing you in real clothes is- " his speech is interrupted by summer.

"yo, do not try this at home." i look at the balcony seeing summer standing at the edge.

i run over to the ramp, marlon not far behind me, "summer stop, that's enough let's go!" i yell trying to get her to come down. "oi, i mean it!" she ignores me.

i see ari join her up there. he grabs her board and she comes down from the ledge. then i hear the horn of my parents car. the headlights lighting up the two on the balcony. "shit."
