Chapter 2

1st person pov

"Rise and shine, ursine!" The red one said first.

Kaede screamed and Shuichi mumbled somthing like "A teddy bear?"

Kaede seemed to hear him and with her own voice tembling she shouted out, "N-No, it's a monster! You can freak out about this!"

I always thought they over reacted about these bears but now that I'm actually here, I was stunned into silence by these annoying robots.

"Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The blue one I think was monokid burst out screaming.

"I don't think she was talking to you." Monophanie; the pink one uttered out. In all honesty I zoned out right there and let my thoughts wander as I stared aimlessly around the room.

I wonder if my body is still lying on the ground? Am I still awake or did my parents ever come to check on me? What if I just dissapeared and there's only one of me that's here right now...

I heard the stupid bears celebrating over something, probably that the flashback light worked or whatever. When I stopped zoning out I realized I was looking at Shuichi and he seemed to have a small blush on his face. I just smiled and winked at him which only made his face redden even more.

Hah, I forgot how easy it is to get Shuichi flustered in these games.

As I looked away I could've sworn I saw Kaede's eyes narrow at me but I shrugged it off and began to focus on the bears infront of me.

"H-Hey, worried about what? I don't understand what's going on." Kaede voiced, quickly looking away from me. The monokubs then spoke up one after another.

"Alright now, let's tackle each issue one at a time!" Monotaro declared.

"You're so damn reliable, Monotaro!"

Ugh monokid has to be my least favorite out of all of them.

"He's like a sixth-grader helpin' out a fifth-grader!" Monophanie proclaimed.

"Well? What's your question?" Monotaro pestered Kaede. She asked her question anyways.

"Where are we? This...looks like a school..."

Jeez this is going to get boring fast if I don't make the dialogue go faster. I already knew that this was the 'Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juviniles" but I kept that to myself. Shuichi said something like how he had never heard of an Ultimate Academy or something along those lines. But what really caught my attention was when Monophanie spoke up.

"Of course you haven't. This school was made for you si-uh I mean seventeen cretins." Wait, what was that slip-up just now? And did she say seventeen? Shuichi seemed to have noticed the slip-up too but he stayed quiet and looked to the side.

The other kubs began explaining how the school was filled with other ultimate kids that were aroud somewhere.

Kaede then repeated the word ultimate to her self but the kubs thought she didn't know what they meant, and they began to explain but she cut them off. "I don't need the explanation, I already know. Because...I'm an ultimate too."

I tuned out the rest of the conversation but I picked up a few details. Like how we have to explore, that there's gonna be an activity that we'll do together, and that the blue one had a 'rager'.

...I didn't really want to know what he meant by that.

I plunged into my own thoughts as I was tuning everything out. So the script really is fitted to me huh? I just hope I have my own dorm room, instead of sharing with someone else. I've read too many fanfics to know what happens in that scenario...
