Today, Kiyoshi Tanaka and Althea Jeon went to the district school quiz bee to represent Baguio National High School. Among the pairs of each school, the two did their best to aim the first place and second place.
"It was hard. Jeon was nervous and anxious during that time. She nearly lost her focus but afterwards, she became okay. I was somehow nervous since it was a different competition I am competing. If it's sepak takraw, I would be fine, but this is quiz bee, an average level of competition." Tanaka said after their competition.
Tanaka got second place in the district quiz bee, proving that he's an undefeated lion of Baguio National High School.
"I was nervous and anxious, but Tanaka was there. He supported me and helped me to calm down, so I went back to my focus. I wasn't also expecting that much that I would bring that bacon with me. It was hard. I feel so much pressure because we're competing with other schools." Jeon said. "To my family, friends, coach, and my partner, Kiyoshi, thank you so much."
Jeon got first place in the district quiz bee, proving that just like a rumble of thunder, she silently roared at their rivals.
After the district meet, they're now bound to compete at the division level. Are they ready?
"We are ready." Jeon and Tanaka replied.
