Hey people, before you start reading,

I just wanted to say that English is not my first language. So don't be surprised if some dialogues are different than what you know them.

Furthermore, you should know that this is my first long fanfiction that I started writing in 2018 and my last update a.k.a. the last time I worked on it was in 2019 with the end of the East Blue arc. I lost interest in working on a One Piece story for a long time and turned to other fandoms. But now after Wano I've got one or two new ideas and I want to dive into the story again soon (as soon as I find a server where I can watch the episodes for free and read the manga. The one I used before unfortunately closed at the time of my last update)

Whatever. I hope you have fun and don't be afraid to leave comments. (I apologize in advance for any grammatical errors). So let's get started!

~ Loguetown, East Blue ~

It was a hot and sunny day in Loge Town, an island in the East Blue. People crowded the streets and the windows. They all just wanted to see him. The man who took his last walk. He was tall and had black hair that reached down to his neck. A black mustache adorned his upper lip. He wore a green shirt and a blue scarf tied around his waist. Over this he wore a red captain's coat and a white tie was tied around his neck. His hands were tied in front of him with wooden handcuffs. This man who went to his execution with his head held high was none other than the pirate King Gold Roger (Gol D. Roger). As he climbed the steps of the scaffold he said: "The will that can never be broken and yet must bend. That is the course of history. But as long as man thirsts for freedom and stands up for his rights, he will live forever!" When he reached the platform, one of his executioners asked him: "Do you have anything else to say, convict?" He turned to him, still smiling broadly always on his lips and stretched out his bound hands towards him. "It would be nice if you could take these shackles off of me. They itch so much, I can't stand it." "No, I'm not allowed to do that." "I'm not running away from you," he said and lowered his hands again. Before he walked past his executioners, he added: "To deny a man his last wish is not nice." He then sat down cross-legged on the platform. His gaze turned towards the onlookers and a broad smile could still be seen on his face. "Come on, let's get this over with!" His executioners crossed their naginata in front of his figure, ready to carry out the sentence. Suddenly someone in the crowd shouted, "Hey, Pirate King!" Both Roger and his executioners looked down and up respectively. "Go ahead! Tell us where you hid the treasure! Is it true that it is hidden somewhere on the Grand Line? Does this legendary hiding place really exist?" "You down there. Shut up!" the executioner on Roger's right tried to silence the man. But he continued to shout: "Gold Roger, tell us the secret hiding place! Where is One Piece?!" The Pirate King then began to laugh and there was silence in the forecourt. "You want to know WHERE my treasure is?" "You are forbidden to talk!" said one of the executioners, before both held the naginata even closer to the prisoner. Roger, however, continued undeterred: "You can have it if you want. LOOK FOR IT!" The executioners brought out the naginatas. "I can tell you where I hid it.." "Sentence carry out!" Before Roger could finish his sentence, the executioners stabbed the Nagitana through his body. His broad grin had not left his face even in death. There was a dead silence in the forecourt until the crowd began to cheer. Within a few days, the entire world learned that the era of the Pirate King had come to an end with his death. But at the same time, pirates all over the world, who were supposed to scare off Roger's death, set out to find the treasure of treasures. The One Piece.
