[ Oblivious ] Kido x Male!Reader (Requested)

{Childhood}
Kido was peacefully reading her magazine, no one bothering her. 'Oh this girl looks pretty on page 69....'

The girl sighed when she heard a door slowly opening. She turned her head towards the door, only to see (Reader).

"Ahaha! Tsubomi you look ugly in that dress!" (Reader) snickered at the green-haired girl. He barged into her room that was shared with Ayano, but Ayano wasn't there.

(Reader) took the magazine out of Kido's hands, receiving a glare from the said girl. "Are you trying to look pretty like these girls?" He asked, pointing at a girl modeling off a dress.

Kido blushed slightly and shook her head furiously.

The mean boy stifled a laugh, then threw the magazine back at Kido and ran out the door. She didn't bother to run after him anyways.

Kido was always used to the boy's harsh words, making her feel quite insecure about her 'feminine' attire.

"NANANA BOO BOO!!! You look ugly!" (Reader) tauntingly stuck out his tongue at the young girl once again. The Tateyama family were going on a picnic into the forest.

Ayano, Kenjirou, and Ayaka sighed as they kept on trying to shut the boy up.

Ayano frowned, then whacked the boy's head. "(Reader)!! Stop saying mean things to Tsubomi, now!"

Kido and the rest, except for Kano and (Reader), happily thanked Ayano with a floral aura surrounding them.

(Reader) clenched his head and hissed. "Ow! But she really is ugl-" This time, Ayaka gave (Reader) an icy glare with a creepy smile, stopping the boy from talking any further.

{Present}

(Reader)'s harsh insults was one of the reasons Kido stopped dressing like a normal girl. It also caused her to hate feminine clothing as well.

Over the years, growing up, after Ayano's death and so on, the four has matured quite nicely. But one person has still one thing he can't let go of...

Today was just another day. (Reader) slept soundly on the couch, his arms on the back of the head and a book resting on his face. Kido was almost done preparing lunch for the whole Dan, they were having fish.

Seto and Kano were out shopping with the rest of the Dan, so only (Reader) and Kido were at the base.

Kido finished setting the table and walked over to (Reader)'s sleeping form. She stared intently as his sleeping position shifted.

The girl sighed and started shaking his shoulder softly, whispering his name. "Oi, (Reader)... Wake up, lunch is ready."

One of his eyes slightly opened to look at Kido. He nodded and slowly got up, yawning softly.

Silence filled the room as the two members ate.

"Tsubomi..." (Reader) said, his eyes looking into Kido's.

"...What?..."

"The fish's eyes kind of look like yours... It's quite..." Kido waited for another insult to come her way as her eye twitched, "funny...".

Kido glared hard at (Reader). "I don't give a ham." (wtfwtfwtfwtfwtf-)

The boy stared wide-eyed at the girl, then chuckled.

That chuckled into little fits of giggles.

And those giggles turned into loud laughter as he clenched his stomach to stop himself.*

Kido could only stare at him with a mixture of confusion and anger. She clenched her fists, "What!?"

Once (Reader)'s laughter died down, he stared at her seriously with a half-smile plastered on his face.

"You seriously didn't notice...?" He asked. Kido tilting her head to the side.

"Well," (Reader) started, "That is, my way of showing how I love people." (Reader) said, resting his head on his palm and smiled at her kindly for once.

"Ehh....?" Kido pondered on that clue for a while then blushed madly. "YOU MOTHER OF A DUCK-," Kido grabbed the fish and fish-slapped (Reader). "Just shut up."

And for once, (Reader) did what she said. He rubbed the spot where he was fish-slapped, smiling inwardly. But he couldn't help but add on with a stupid grin on his face. "I know you love me too~"

"...I think it's better if you stop talking."
