Your Highness (Gojo x Reader)

Chapter 6-Ichika Ogami

The drab warehouse of the UFF was simply an abandoned storage building in the Otoko no Haka. The UFF, at the beginning of it's life, was full of sorcerers and non-sorcerers alike all uniting in order to fight for their freedom. However Sukuna's war lord conquest of Japan had left them weak, discourage, and empty. Few people remained, and all of them possessed empty hopes of being able to get back the exact life they had. It didn't take an idiot to know that was impossible.

Perhaps the only realistic one was Maki Zen'in, or rather, Maki Okkotsu. She was the first to succumb to Sukuna not out of weakness, but she knew the fight was over. If she surrendered as soon as possible, she could get a good career in Sukuna's military. However, Yuta stopped her before she could approach Sukuna's army as it marched through Tokyo. Yuta use Rika to hold her down , although it was a huge struggle. Just as she was about to escape, Yuta made a last ditch effort to get her to stay.

He so gingerly whispered in her ear the love he held for her and kissed her. One thing led to another, and despite all the darkness, Maki and Yuta got married. There was no suit or dress, no flowers or priest--Only Angel who still possessed Hana-- and no reception. However the ceremony had been a ray of light in the terrible darkness Sukuna had bestowed upon Japan.

Now being married for a little under a year, Maki had become vice president of the UFF, and was always willing to say the truth no matter how dark. It kept all the members grounded. Including Yuta.

Yuta entered the warehouse in his car. He parked and called Kamo and Ino to get the cooler out of his trunk while he covered the commodity of a car with a tarp.

Maki walked over with Miwa, Angel, Ijichi, and a young teenage girl named Ichika.

This was everybody. A small, and weak group. The most noticeable thing about the small group was their small stature. They all were skinny due to the lack of food in the Otoko no Haka. Everybody was weak and struggling. 

Yuta began to address the group. "Hey everybody!" He gave a nervous chuckle, "I just got back from a deal with Nobara for Gojo's calf and leg. We're putting the plan into effect."

Everybody exchanged a nervous glance, however, Ichika stepped forward with confidence.

Her black hair, that was once think and gorgeous, now flowed over her shoulders with a stringy and plastic texture due to her starvation. He skin was dry and thin, just like everybody else's, yet she still looked worse than everybody else. Despite that, she seemed to have the most hope.

Yuta looked at the young girl, "Ichika, are you ready--"

Maki quickly cut her husband off. She grabbed Ichika's shoulders then cupped her fragile and stretched cheeks. "Ichika, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. It's okay to value your own life. Nobody ever will think of you as selfish for that."

Yuta looked slightly annoyed but soon realized what Maki was doing. He was being selfish. He shouldn't have jumped to the conclusion that this girl was completely on board. Despite the façade she put on, she was probably scared. He had to trust his wife and her decisions.

Ichika looked at Maki with a bright smile, "Think of me as a seed--a seed of hope. My death will plant a seed of hope that will grow into a big tree, and bear fruits of freedom. Though I will never see the fruits of my labor because I, and everybody else who gives their life for this cause, will become the fruit that will be open to everybody who seeks them. So I do value my own life. I just value it as a sacrifice worth giving, not a worthless piece of debris."

Her small speech seemed insignificant, but nobody was without tears. Miwa ran forward, her blue hair now short and ruined as she embraced the young girl. Ichika smiled at her, and hugged her back.
