Gojo got out of the shower at around noon, and exited the bathroom in some new clothes ordered by Yuji.

Maki and Yuta were at the small table in the corner of the hotel room, scarfing down several salads and steaks ordered by Yuji from the hotel room service.

Yuji meanwhile was on the bed, glaring menacingly at Gojo. Although it did hurt Gojo to see his former student who had been encouraging him in the fight against Sukuna now working with the man who killed him, he was forced to brush it off and come to terms with the fact that the environment of the new Japan was changing, and people were desperate.

Gojo got on his bed next to Yuji, who was still tied up, and grabbed the remote. He turned on the TV, and began to see what was on.

He stopped on some baseball, and got his own plate of food as he watched.

Yuta and Maki both stared at the TV with wide eyes. "We haven't seen a TV in years..." Maki told Yuta who nodded in agreement.

"I forgot you guys didn't have that for what? seven years?" Gojo said.

Yuta answered, "Yeah. It's shocking to see it after so long."

Yuji spoke up, "Turn on the news."

"Shut up prisoner." Gojo was quick to interrupt.

"Gojo, he has a point. The news might help us figure out what's going on right now." Maki walked over and took the remote, and began flicking through the channels until she landed on "IMPERIAL NEWS."

Yuta walked over to watch as well.

"Thank you for the sports report, Kenji. Now onto the biggest news stories of the day. The Emperor has announced a public execution to be shown on every channel and electronic in Japan starting right now."

The TV changed to show Sukuna at the front of his palace, with at least 25,000 people attending.

There was a stage with three posts, and several soldiers were in front of the stage, guarding it.

Several Taiko drums were beat as three prisoners were brought out to the stage, bags over their head, and libs chained together. One body immediately gave it away. Panda.

Everybody's eyes widened, while Yuji stayed cold.

Sukuna stepped forward, and addressed the crowd.

"I HAVE DECLARED A PUBLIC EXECUTION ON THREE SAMURAI OF THE LOWEST DEGREE FOR ACCOUNTS OF TREASON! I GRANTED THESE THREE INDIVIDUALS WITH MERCY FOR THEIR ACTIONS, YET THEY HAVE BETRAYED ME BY RELEASING REBELS INTO THE PEACE OF OUR CITY!"

The crowd roared with jeers.

"FIRST, AKIO OSUKE! HE ADMITTED TO WATCHING THE ENTIRE EXCHANGE WITH NO ATTEMPT TO STOP IT. HE HAS EARNED HIMSELF DEATH BY BEHEADING!"

A bag was pulled off a middle-aged mans head. He looked normal, except for the distinct Mei Day tattoo on his neck. Sukuna's stomach spoke softly, and the man was brutally beheaded by Sukuna's dismantle technique.

"NEXT, WE HAVE THE TWO MAIN OFFENDERS, TOGE INUMAKI, AND PANDA!"

"No!" Yuta cried.

"THEY HAVE SNUCK FOUR REBELS INTO THE CITY, AND HAVE ALLOWED ONE OF THEM TO TAKE ONE OF OUR VERY OWN, BELOVED SAMURAI HOSTAGE."

"Three technically since Hana left..." Maki muttered.

"THEY WILL RECIEVE THE WORST DEATH PENALTY IMAGINABLE! DEATH BY TORCH!"

The bags on Panda and Toge's faces were pulled off by soldiers, and they both looked utterly defeated.

They were both tied to nine-foot wooden poles. Sukuna first went to Panda's and and prepared himself to use his technique, "Fuga..."

He shot an arrow of fire at Panda, allowing the pole to go up into flames, but the worst part was, the flames seemed to be burning slow. They were slowly engulfing the pole, so Panda had the worst suffering imaginable.

Next was Toge. Toge was shot with a fiery arrow as well. Both Panda and Toge screamed in agony. Gojo could only stare as Yuta began to sob, and Maki bit back her tears.

As the slow burn began, several soldiers lifted the poles and began marching through the crowd.

The crowd cheered and jeered at both the offenders, and tackled the soldiers and lifted the poles on their own. They began to parade the two men (?) around the street, shouting and cursing the poor victims who were screaming in agony.

It began a riot. People began to set off fireworks, and flashbangs, using cursed techniques to wreck havoc.

The sound of the loud crowd approached the hotel, and due to their height, everybody could observe through the window without being recognized. Maki, Yuta, and Gojo, all looked down at the approaching mob, as they mocked the two samurai.

Flash bangs and fireworks ricocheted throughout the streets, and people began to throw things at the two innocents. It was truly horrible to watch. It was truly a fate never to be wished on anybody.

They backed away from the window, and Yuji spoke up. "Once the emperor catches all three of you, he'll do so much worse."

Yuta took a deep breath, and stared down at the ground. He embraced Maki more for his own comfort. She held back tears, as she saw her two best friends die in such a gruesome and horrible way.

The entire experience was truly a reminder of what they were fighting against. A monster.

"Yuji, you will take us to Hakari's place tomorrow." Gojo glared right into his former students eyes.

Yuji glared. "Right."

"And you will help us end this evil Shogunate."

"I will not."

"You will whether you like it or not."
