(Kallias)
I was whistling, locking my door when I heard a door slam shut a few doors down. I quickly looked over and noticed Maya, locking her door before making her way down the stairs which were right in front of her room.

Hm.

I brushed it off, she'd probably forgotten to charge her headphones and couldn't listen to her music. I went down the stairs and walked out to the bus stop. No sign of her already.

Where the heck is this classroom at again?

102, 103, 104-

104. This was the one.

I walked in, not looking at all the people who were already there, and found a spot near the back close to the wall with a large stained glass window.

The classroom was a typical class room that fit probably 20 students. All the desks were organized in row and column fashion which made it easy to spot an empty seat.

I set my tote bag down and leaned back in my chair.

I wasn't exactly early. Our professor, Mr. Hutchins was already setting up his stuff when I had entered. He was a 50 year old man, and had a similar English voice of David Attenborough. And as most English professors do, he dressed nicely, his large black coat hanging over his khakis.

I glanced over at the clock on the top of the door, 11:01.

Just 50 more minutes to go and then I'm free.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"No Kallias, you're wrong"

"Am I?" I replied

I was discussing the best pho place with Anna, a white freckled and brown haired girl who sat next to me. I met her in the first week of class, hitting it off after I laughed at her witty jokes to our professor. She was English and regularly made fun of how American I sounded to her despite telling her I was European.

"What's the homework due for tomorrow again?" she asked, flipping open her laptop.

"It's not due until Friday I think. He pushed it off" I replied, looking forward at the classroom.

"Thankkk the Queen" she said below her breath.

Our professor was getting ready, setting up his computer when to my shock, someone walked through the door.

She was wearing a dark brown jacket, her recognizable dark wavy hair rolling down her back, and without ever turning to look at anyone, she took a seat.

Maya.
