Eternal Sunshine~Seongjoong Pirate•Siren AU

Hongjoong, still watching in peace, contemplated on what happened earlier. He didn't fall asleep, he knew that. But he wasn't ready for the sirens. How he forgot? He didn't know. Not that it mattered, because from then on he was going to be on high alert. The most important thing was the safety of his crew that he cares about so deeply, he simply would not allow a siren to take control of his mind.

His breath hitched when he heard a gentle voice, and he dug crescents into his palm to keep him from daydreaming, as he walked towards the direction of the voice, rather than moving his ship of course. It was beautiful, really, the tuned singing, and it took everything in him to keep his pace calm as he neared the railing.

A known fact about sirens was their illusion of beauty, all of it a facade that became known only after a pirate was already doomed, so he knew to prepare himself for the sight he might come upon when walking closer. Even so, he wasn't at all ready

Mere feet from his ship was something that near compelled him to jump overboard.

The siren was ethereal, it's tail glimmering in the early morning sun, seeming to reflect on the fading clouds. His hair was that of his tail, a coral pink with a tint of rouge, parted with a ratio of 4:6 as it fell perfectly despite clearly just coming out of the water.

Hongjoong felt a deathly urge to leap out and swim to him, but he pinched himself, as to have some sort of grasp on reality, watching carefully as the siren sang it's beautiful tune, eyes closed and not noticing his presence. He knew it could not be a mermaid, despite its features, simply because of the way his voice made him feel. It was enchanting, as if casting a spell, and it took much strength and energy to shield his mind.

Finally, the siren looked up, it's bright blue eyes almost glowing, as it immediately stopped its singing, seemingly shocked at seeing Hongjoong.

That was a great relief to the captain, who was close to losing control, but when the siren left it's perch on the rock, and reappeared even closer, he found the urges beginning again.

"What is it you want?" He yelled out, his voice bellowing, as the siren flinched, making him feel bad for just a small moment.

Seonghwa was gone the moment he looked into the pirates eyes. He was breathtaking, to say the least. His black hair was pulled back, save for a few strands falling over his forehead. He wore an all black outfit, and many accessories that fit well. The siren had never seen such a well dressed pirate in his life, nor such an utterly handsome one.

With his sharp jawline, big eyes, straight nose, and body shape, his features were practically screaming 'daddy'.

Don't ask how a siren knew what that meant...

So he ventured closer, wanting to see the captain up close, completely forgetting about his original goal.

But the man's loud voice made him flinch, not used to being yelled at. He didn't seem scared at all -maybe he thought it was a mermaid- but still curious and cautious.

"I-I...." Seonghwa didn't know what to say. His intent was to bring this ship and it's crew back to the city where the sirens could enjoy, but this was the first time he'd seen a human avoid the hypnotization that was his voice. And he couldn't tell him that, of course, that could put him in danger or drive the captain out, which he had no plan to hurt anymore, rather wanting to look at him more.

He'd never seen someone like that....hot, as you might put it, because all sirens were simply beautiful, and more feminine, whether male or female. He seemed to be the hypnotized one, rather than the original prey.

"Tell me what you want before I leave!" Hongjoong shouted.

"P-please, can I...can I speak with you?" His voice was shy, and barely heard from the distance, but the pirate managed. He knew the risk of getting closer to the siren, but if he could withstand their luring methods, the only other thing that could be done to him was a bite from his pointed front teeth, which couldn't do much anyways. Not that he knew, but Seonghwas teeth were quite especially dulled, having eaten only plants his entire life.

So he waved the siren to the front of the boat, going down the stairs and to the area, a place he was able to swing his feet in the water if he wanted. The beautiful creature was waiting for him there, lying his head on his arms as he stared up dreamily, the rest of his body underwater.

"Why did you want to talk to me?" Hongjoong questioned, fighting to keep a straight face when the other was looking so angelic get adorable there, large eyes staring up at him as he sat down criss-crossed.

"I..would like to confess something to you.."

"And what is that?"

"...well..I'm a siren.."

I know I said I'd be updating weekly but I couldn't help myself😭 I shouldn't keep doing this or else I'll run out of prewritten chapters

Still, I hope it was okay for you guys, I've proofread it a million times but I can't tell whether it's satisfactory or not

Also the pics I put at the top are usually gonna be completely random, but like also ur welcome cuz Yeosang is so cute😭
