As a teenager, you were a victim of bullying.Outshined by your 'perfect' younger brother in all aspects, and longing for familial attention you chose to study hard. Now that you think about it, you just craved for any kind of parental attention. Hence, you were never interested in your peers. Diligently acting as the good student and the 'teacher's pet', perhaps you messed with the wrong people.
You didn't have any friends, nor did you want one.
For sure, a few people have tried to approach you, yet all ended in a failure. Believing friends were distractions, you isolated yourself.
And you know what the funny thing is?
When you isolate yourself, the world isolates you.
Having no friends resulted to being outcasted, and being an outcast meant you were the perfect material for bullying. At first, they made fun of you. Young and foolish you were back then, to just let all of that happen to you. Yet, it would've been the worst decision you've ever made in your life. The friendly teasing turned into blatant mockery, before emerging in the form of something more violent and brutal.
It didn't just end there.
Bullies, one thing about them was that they liked to show off. Handling you as if you were some pet, they'd conjure up different ways to beat you up, each bully vying to be the 'cruelest'.
Soon, they would get bored, just beating their victims. Knowing that the victims were in the palm of their hands, they begin to get much bolder.
.... Let's not talk about the next part.
Teachers didn't really want to get involved, more so than you had initially thought. They'd leave it for the students to deal with, calling it 'teasing'. They don't bother about the injuries on your body either, just assuming you're a troublemaker.
You've tried fighting back multiple times, yet either they ganged up on you or they threatened you.
During those times of suffering, you read Lookism. It was your only escape.
The story involved school violence, beating up bullies and then it evolved to gangs and chairmen.
You would re read it again and again if you couldn't wait for the update, and when a new update came, you'd read it all again. You've always dreamt to be as brave and heroic as Vasco, to fight against your bullies.
Miraculously getting a new, perfect body which can just beat up bullies. You envied it. But you knew, it was just a pipe dream. For lookism was just fiction. One should know better, than to think bullies would ever repent, much less get their karma.
Ringggg ringg
If you were to be asked how you endured that all that bullying, you'd say it's because you knew gangsters would never be able to be good adults when they grew up.
If you continued studying now, they'll be working under your feet... Or that's what you thought. A few years later, you were already an adult. Your life was ruined. You were what people called a shut in, while your bullies became more successful than ever, as if to rub it in your face.
You kept locking myself up in your room, wondering why this had happened to you.
...was there something wrong with you?
Ringg
You couldn't bear the humiliation. So you ended your life.
Well.
That's right. You did exactly that.
So why were you hearing ringing sounds since earlier?
You opened your eyes and attempted to turn off source of the sound, but ended up messily falling out of your bed instead.
