"Reg"
"Reggie"
"Wake up!"
"You'll miss Potions,"
The gray eyes opened to Evan, who was sitting to his left, then to Barty, who was laying to his right. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Barty giggled and got a pillow thrown right in his face. "Shut up, Barty." Regulus grinned and stood up. "Get ready, Potions start in 10 minutes," Evan says, sounding nervous. As always, Evan is stressed because they might be late. "Please just leave today without me." Barty sits up in shock. "Our Reggie skips potions?"
"No, I mean go to potions without me, I need a second to get ready, I don't want you both to miss anything. I mean, I can brew a potion in my sleep...but you two-" The sleepy boy giggled."We get it. We get it." Barty laughs and stands up. "Reg, you promise you won't fall asleep again, okay?" Evan said smiling.
"Not in my life, will i ever miss Potions." Evan smiles and nods.
Barty and Evan leave the dorm. Regulus smile fades slowly. It hasn't even been a month since hogwarts began again. Usually regulus was happy, happy to have escaped the grip of his 'wonderful' parents, happy to see Evan and barty laughing, happy to hug Pandora again and gossip with dorcas about the hufflepuffs but this time, it felt like hogwarts was empty. He felt something was missing..and he knew what it was...
Sirius.
Sirius had ran away in summer break. And when the regulus and he met in hogwarts again, sirius just looked at him cold-hearted and walked back to his friends. Leaving regulus alone in the hallway. No words were said, but both brothers understood through the eyes what the other thought. Sirius eyes said everything that had to be said.
Regulus sighs as he stands up. He takes his wand, he leaves the dorm and walks to the potions room as suddenly someone runs onto him. Both fall down, regulus sits up. "My apolo-" regulus looks with a glare at the boy who just ran into him, James. Fleamont. Potter. "It's fine, don't mind it." he quickly stands up, James just now notices that the boy was familiar to him when he remembered "Hey you're sirius' brother, Reg, am i right?".
"It's Regulus to you," the regulus says plainly.
"Yeah, right, sorry, I'm ja-"
"Bye then," regulus interrupts, nods to James, and leaves.
"James Potter..." finishes James with a disappointed look. He always wanted to get to know his best friends brother. Sirius always spoke highly of him, sirius showed in first year all the letters regulus wrote to him from their home, but this year sirius said nothing about him, rather he ignored regulus completely. Right, Sirius ran away this summer, James parents gladly let him live with them. Their house was big enough, and James parents loved the idea of having sirius live with them. It was as if sirius was also their son, they loved him and were happy to help. It would never get bored with sirius. But James didn't think of regulus in that moment when all that happened. But now he does..
In the classroom potions, Evan looked impatient at the door. "Rosier? Are you alright?" Carrow asked quietly "yeah...I'm only waiting for Regulus" Carrow looked to the door and it slowly opened, regulus snuck in as Professor slughorn wasn't looking "see, im still early" he grinned "if you call 12 minutes early, alright" regulus sat on his seat "ah Mr. Black, we missed you at the start of the lesson." regulus sighed "Damn it," mumbled regulus."My apologies, professor,"
