The New Vigilante

Y/n was back home, listening to the cops talk to his mother. They questioned her about the suspect, asking her if she knew him or anyone associated to that person. She shakes her head, already on the verge of breaking down.

Y/n had his back against the wall, staring at the dry blood on his hands. Blood that belonged to his father. He feels distressed, blaming himself for the death of his father.

When the officers got down talking to his mother, they were just about to leave. Y/n got the attention of one who had a sketch of the perpetrator.

Y/n: Can I have that?

Officer: Sure.

The officer hands Y/n the sketch.

Officer: There's one other thing. He has a star tattooed on his left hand.

Y/n stares at the picture. Hatred for the man burning up inside.

When the police officers left, Mary broke down and started crying. Wiping her eyes with a tissue.

Y/n heads upstairs to his room and sits in the corner. A voice-mail from his dad was sent to his phone just after Y/n left home. Y/n plays it and holds it up to his ear, hearing his father's voice.

Richard:(Voice-mail) Y/n, I know the past few years have been difficult lately... and I'm sorry about that. I think I'm part of the blame for what's happening to you...

Y/n couldn't bear to hear anymore and ends the message. Leaving it at that.

(The Next Day)

Spider-man swings through the city, searching for Richard's killer. Both him and Ghost-Spider were on a call.

Spider-man: Anything?

Ghost-Spider:(Call) I got nothing here.

Spider-man: Same.

Ghost-Spider:(Call) Have you checked up on Y/n?

Spider-man: He hasn't been answering any of my calls or texts. I think it's best we leave him alone for a while.

Ghost-Spider:(Call) Okay... does she know? Asuna?

Spider-man: Probably not. We have to tell her.

Ghost-Spider:(Call) I'll do it. You keep searching.

Gwen made it to the hospital where Asuna is. She checks in at the front desk and receives a badge to continue ahead in the elevator. Gwen practices in the elevator of what to say.

The doors opened. She gets out and headed to Asuna's room down the corridor. Gwen stood by the door, mustering the courage to go in. She knocks first and then enters.

Gwen walks in, expecting to see just Asuna there, instead an unexpected visitor was present. Kazuto was there, chatting with Asuna about old times in SAO.

The two stopped their conversation and had their eyes on Gwen. All of Gwen's resolve evaporated in that instant. Finding it harder to even muster words. All three stood there, staring at one another.

Asuna was the first to break the uncomfortable silence in the room.

Asuna: Hello. Do we know you?

Gwen found her words.

Gwen: No. You don't. But Y/n talks about you quite a lot.

Asuna: Oh, you know U/n?

Gwen: U/n?
