Prologue

Louis and Harry rule the most dominant vampire kingdom there is to ever exist. Sure there are still kingdoms who want to test their strength, but it never works out. the other kingdom always surrenders to Harry and Louis. They also have the biggest one yet. They have 3,893,289 followers within their pack, and it still grows to this day. The two of them are what true rulers shall become, and they never grow weak no matter what.

That is until.... Harry was poisoned.

He was given a cup of blood during his dinner and when he took a sip of the meal, nothing had occurred at the time. It was only when he went to sleep that night. Louis immediately knew that something was wrong when his queen never woke up the next day. He grew disheveled and he was right there, at his queen's side, waiting for Harry to awaken.

There was also a big war that was supposed to take place in only a few days, so after Louis ordered a few things from his fellow honorable protectors, they found who poisoned the queen, killed them, and relocated to a more secretive spot. Louis just knew that he was not strong enough to fight without his precious queen with him.

Now that was 5 years ago.

Everyone within the kingdom was growing quite worried for the saddened king and they tried to sympathize with Louis and tell him the truth about his queen. About his soulmate.

That he was gone.

How would Louis react? He would look at whoever was saying this and smile faintly. He then would press his index finger to his lips and say, "Shhh... The queen is sleeping. He shall wake up soon," and then look back at his beloved. It would make the followers even more worried, but they knew better than to repeat themselves. Louis's primary protector, Liam would only watch over his highness with a sorrow-like look on his face. Zayn (Harry's primary protector) would stop by everyday to pay his respects to the queen, not making any looks as he wants to have hope like how the king does.

Niall is the caregiver. He helps the wounded and watched over the little ones whenever the parents have to step out. He knows about the queen of course. He just thinks just like the king. He believes that the queen will wake up and he gives the king hope as well. Much to everyone's dismay.

Harry had saved Zayn when he was being hunted one night by 5 hunters and it was as if Harry knew that Zayn needed to be saved. Because don't get it confused, Harry and Louis are both rather ruthless and they would only see things with a blank look on their faces. The only cases where they would show emotion is if they are with each other (alone), in the comfort of their own home, or with the ones that are close to them.

When Harry had saved Zayn, he gave him a proposition. Zayn would be living in their kingdom and he will receive all necessities that are needed for his well-being. However, he had to go through extremely difficult training and become the Queen's primary protector. Zayn did demand for his family to be with him, but Harry just tilted his head and said "I thought that was a given? Family is a necessity darling."

And just like that, Zayn became a strong and intelligent protector for the queen. He then also got the chance to meet Liam, his now lover when he first moved in. He quickly adapted to everything and saw sides of the royal highnesses when they got comfortable with him. He became a part of the family.

Anyways, the kingdom that was looking to fight Louis and Harry had found them and gave them only 6 months to prepare for the war. Louis did hear about it, but he's lost.

Because all he could think is...
