"Are you ready for this?" Liam asked as we were getting ready for what is to go down tomorrow. We are going to be fighting for our pride and for our kingdom. We are going to be fighting with our king and we will be fighting for our resting queen.

Now as the days went on and as the battle approached us, we were slowly coming to the conclusion that our queen won't be awake by the time the battle occurs. It of course made us a bit sad, but we kind of prepared ourselves if that was to be the case. Louis has three of us watching the front and three watching the back. He wants me to scope around the castle while there will be two of us posted in front of the chambers. He mentioned having 2 on their patio, but the ones who are watching the back told him that they would watch over that as well. To which he accepted.

"I have no other choice but to be ready, you know? I am doing something that is my job to do. I will need you to be ready though, because I need you to come back. Don't let any of them take you from me, you understand?" I asked and turned to look at my lover. He looked over at me and he smiled fondly at me. He turned his body to face me and he took a fews teps so that he would be right in front of me and he held my waist. He leaned and pressed his lips against mine. To which I gracefully complied. I kissed back and the moment that we shared was much needed as it felt like a promise of some sort. It felt as though this will not be the last kiss that we share. That there are plenty more to come for us.

To which I hope is the truth.

We pulled apart and we stepped out of our chambers then. We were met with Louis and Niall walking by. Niall looked at me, but Louis was looking at Liam.

"Sir Payne, you are to go to training. You will need to guide the other warriors before the battle is officially here. Sir Malik, I will need you to hold a meeting with the protectors of my beloved," he ordered us and we bowed in acceptance. "Yes my lord. However, may I ask a question?" I asked as I lifted back up. "Proceed." "Are you sure that you don't want to assign protectors for the outdoor patio of your chamber? I'm sure that my group can protect the queen the best that we can, but I think that assigning a couple more would be for the best. Just for the reassurance," I suggested and Louis did think about it.

"I can see where having two more guards will give us the reassurance of our queen being protected... Would you be okay with assigning the guards? I am going through all plans with sir Niall, so I'll be unavailable for a bit of time.  I do trust your judgement sir Malik," he says to me and I smiled at that. "I will not let you down sir. Thank you for giving me that opportunity," I spoke gratefully. "No need to thank me. Just doing what is the most need. Have a good day gentlemen," he dismissed before he walked away with Niall following him.

Liam looked at me and I looked back. "Please let me know if anything goes wrong tomorrow, I will be sure to mention this with the ing and we will make sure to address the issue," he says to me and I smiled, shaking my head. "I believe that everything will go as planned tomorrow. However, if we fail to protect the queen for any reason, then I will be sure to take care of these matters with the king myself," I responded and kissed him on the cheek and started to make my way to the meeting room.

When I got there, there were a few people in there already, but I knew that I needed to wait for a few more to show up. I walked to my post and opened the binder that was sitting on my desk and I looked through the official list of the ones who are wanting to be with me and protect our queen. I looked up and saw a few of them talking to one another while smiling. Now I am not saying that smiling is like a sign of betrayal or anything. However, in this room and with what we are about to talk about, I would think that they would be a bit more serious like how I am right now. I don't need them to be cold, but realize what we are about to go through tomorrow and really discuss their protection ideas amongst themselves.
