So I don't know how he did it, but Arthur managed to get father to let up on the restrictions around me. Though if father knew I was outside the castle walls in the forest with only Merlin for protection. He'd have Arthur's head and I'd never be allowed out again. I am helping Merlin pick some mushrooms.

"Did you hear something?" Merlin asks me. I shake my head. But then I heard it a twig snapping.

"Ok, I heard that" I whisper as we stand up. We hear a loud screech and see a creature heading our way. "Run!" I shout and we take off. I soon fall though because of my stupid dress.

"Elizabeth!" Merlin shouts. As I turn to see the creature. I close my eyes waiting for the attack. Which didn't come. A man yells and I open my eyes to see a young man fighting the creature with a sword. Protecting me. Merlin appears beside me and helps me up as the man's sword breaks.

"Run! Run!" the man tells us. I take off with them following me. I spot a fallen tree and run to it. We all hide behind it as the man holds his side.

"It's gone. You saved our lives. I'm Merlin" Merlin tells the man.

"I'm Elizabeth, thank you for saving my life" I say with a smile. He is very handsome.

"Lancelot" he says shaking Merlin's hand. "Anything for a beautiful lady" he tells me and I blush slightly. He passes out and I notice him bleeding.

"We must get him back to Camelot and to Gaius" I state. Merlin nods his head and slings Lancelot's arm over his shoulder. Half dragging half carrying him as I walk beside them. Encase he needed help. But he managed to support Lancelot the whole way.

"The wound itself is superficial. The fever will pass. He should be fine in the morning" Gaius assures us. After examining and cleaning the wound. I sigh in relief.

"That's good, I should return to my chambers and call it a night. Oh and Gaius I was never in the forest" I tell him.

"Of course not Princess" he says with a smile. I smile and wished him a goodnight along with Merlin. Before leaving and returning to my chambers. Where I washed up before putting on my night gown. And called it a night.

(Training grounds)

I am in a plain dress as I watch Arthur train the recruits. Today another will be facing the test o see if he is worthy of being a knight of Camelot. Lancelot would be a worthy knight and I'm sure he'd look handsome. I shake the thoughts away as I focus on Arthur.

"Right, you jumped up dung beetle, this is it. The final test. Pass this and you're a knight of Camelot. Fail, and you're no one. You face the most feared of all foes, the ultimate killing machine. You face me. You're challenge to last one minute free combat. Grummond, Second son of Wessex" he says.

Grummond wields two swords. Arthur draws his sword and nods to me. I turn the hour glass beside me on the table. Grummond swings the swords around while Arthur watches. Grummond goes for the attack and Arthur takes him down in two swift blows. The crowd applauds. Arthur removes Grummond's flag. "Take him away" he tells the guards and they do so. He comes over to me and I hand him a water skin. He takes a drink.
