Elizabeth's POV
Merlin and Arthur are out hunting again. With about half a dozen knights. I still haven't forgiven my so called father for imprisoning Morgana and I. Even she seems to have done so. She even saved his life from Tauren. I can't understand why she'd forgiven him so easily. I'm still avoiding him, well being alone with him.
Anyway, when I heard that Arthur and Merlin had returned minus a knight. I sneak into a secret room to listen in on their talk with Uther in the council chambers. "The creature you describe has all the characteristics of the Questing Beast" Gaius states.
"Surely that's a myth" Arthur states.
"According to the old books, the appearance of the Questing Beast is supposed to foreshadow a time of great upheaval" Gaius explains.
"Gaius, it's an old wives' tale" Uther tells him.
"Look, whatever it is, it's spreading panic. The people fear it will enter the city" Arthur explains.
"Then we must kill it. Arthur, gather the guard together. You ride at dawn" Uther tells him. I scowl, always sending Arthur to battle monsters, instead of going himself. I heard the doors open and closes. Which means Arthur and his knights must have left the room.
"I beg you, Sire, do not dismiss this. The beast is an omen. I've seen it come before, the night your wife Ygraine passed away" Gaius states. I take a deep calming breath. Just another remember of how selfish my 'father' is.
"I've told you not to speak of that night again. I have conquered the Old Religion. It's warnings mean nothing to me now. Arthur will destroy the beast and we will no longer suffer at its hand" Uther tells him. "Have you seen Elizabeth?" he asks.
"Rarely" Gaius states.
"She still seems to be angry with me" Uther states.
"Can you blame her sire? You threw her and Morgana into the dungeon. You have done many things she loathes"Gaius tells him.
"Morgana has forgiven me, why can't my own daughter?" Uther demands.
"That I can not answer, only she can" Gaius tells him. "I must go, I have tonics to prepare. Good day sire" he says and I left my secret room. I won't ever forgive Uther, never. Not even he were dying. He'd deserve it after all the pain and death he has caused. All the lies he has told. I called it a night.
I woke early and came to wish Arthur luck. "Arthur" I say as he goes to enter the square.
"Elizabeth, how are you?" he asks.
"I am fine, I wished to give you this" I state handing him a strip of cloth. "For good luck" I tell him.
"I accept, though I won't need luck" he tells me. As I tie to his arm.
"Be careful Arthur, one bite or scratch means death" I tell him. "I can't lose you like we lost our mother" I state. He kisses my forehead.
"I will return my sister, I always do" he assures me. "I must go" he says and he exists the castle. "You've seen the foe we face. It's a creature of nightmare, but you are the best knights in the realm. We can, and we will, kill it before it harms another citizen of our kingdom" he tells his knights drawing his sword. "For the love of Camelot" he states.
The knights draw their own swords. "For the love of Camelot!" they repeat. Morgana rushes out past me in her nightgown, hysterical. Crying Arthur's name.
"Morgana, what are you doing?" he asks her as they sheath their swords.
"You cannot face this!" she cries. Morgana tries to grab him, Arthur struggles with her.
