Ch.13 who thats alot of pov switches

The next morning I woke up to the smell of bacon and the sounds of a pan. Salam wasn't next to me anymore but sitting at a table eating eggs and bacon.

"Morning Love" Vince set down a plate of food for me.

"This looks nice." I looked at Vince. he had a smile on his face.

"Actually Ruby helped me make it"

"Your food needed more flavor!" Ruby was smiling and it seemed like Vince and Ruby were getting along. I take a bite of their food.
It was Great actually! I was kinda used to Vince's bitter food but this is great!

"This is Amazing!" I ate more of it, finishing a little too fast and choked a little on food.

"Sorry" I chuckled and smiled. I looked over to Salam who was staring blankly at a wall.

"Hey Salam you ok?" I asked. he looked at me then looked at Salam.

"I have a new friend!" He got excited and walked to me.

"Oh who's your new friend?"

"Manon!" He points to a blank wall. The room went silent. Vince's eyes had widened. He took a step back. He looked at Salam and back at that blank wall.

Vince's pov.

Manon stayed still and only whispered.

"Sorry I couldn't stop him" I looked at her and looked at him. Salam face got scrunched up and he was on the verge of tears.

"Did I do something wrong?" he started crying. I personally don't really like kids but theses two are in care for a week. I pulled Salam into my arms.

"No you didn't do anything wrong." I looked at Rody. Ruby was trying to comfort him but she didn't completely understand what was going on.

"Just Manon is the name of someone Rody loved and she sadly passed away recently."
I looked at Manon. She was now a bit upset with me but it's fine.

"Oh..." Salam looked around for abit. Ruby went to her brother.

"It's like how you say you see mom sometimes."

"Oh" Salam clinged to his bear and backed away from me.

"Hey, we're not gonna hurt you." I got closer to him and put on a warm smile.

"Hey why don't you, Ruby, and Rody go to the mall. But some new clothes and stuff" he smiles and hugs me tightly.

After the hug stopped I hugged rody and kissed him.

"Love it's ok" he was shaking. He clenched onto my sweater. Tears running down his face.

"How about this I'll take the kids out, you stay here and try to calm down alright" Rody kisses me. Ruby stared at us. She reached out and held rodys hand. I kissed Rodys head which made him smile.

"Alright Rody I'm gonna trust you to handle the restaurant while I'm gone"

"Ok Honey" Rody wiped his tears. Ruby took Salams hand. I grabbed my coat and we headed out..

-hours later-

"Thank you for taking us here Vince..." Ruby was playing with her hands. I was holding 5 different bags while Salam was playing with his bear.

"No problem, we just need to make one stop before we head home." We stopped at a jewelry store.

"Why are we stopping here?"

"I'm getting something for Rody" we walk in. And I looked around. I went to the display case browsing the rings.

"Oh hey, you're Vincent Charbonneau!"
