My Hero Academia: The Luminous Hero

Today is the big day the long awaited meeting with the Pro Hero Mirai. Kioko was excited. This was her chance to make a good first impression. Kioko played with her Locket for comfort to prepare herself to meet a hero she looked up too. As she stood infront of the building Suddenly a familiar red feather fluttered down infront of her. Kioko looked up.

"Hawks?" Kioko questioned. Knowing when she was out in public to call him by his hero name.

"Well hello Kid you know you can enter right? Don't worry so much here I'll go in with you it is my agency after all." Hawks smiled.

Kiego pushed his sister forward. "come on let's go Kioko."

As they enter the building they see a beautiful woman standing there waiting looking nervous.

"Hey Mirai! The kids here." Hawks smiled.

Mirai turned around then suddenly got on the floor and bowed "Nice to meet you, I hope we can work well together Hondo-san."

Kioko and Kiego stood still stunned by Mirai reaction.

" oh my goodness! please get up no need to be so formal! And please call me Kioko that's what everyone calls me... no need for formalities!" Kioko said as she panics helping Mirai get off the ground.

" Kioko's ok I can do that are you sure though. It's such an honour to meet you! Hawks has told me all about you!" Mirai said as she stood up.

Kioko felt her happiness soaring and grabbed on to Mirais hand excitedly.

" wait really he told you about me being his sister? Wow you must be closer than I thought!This is amazing I can't thank you enough. I'm honoured to be able to have this opportunity! I hope we work well together!" Kioko smiled sweetly.

Mirai looked like she was about to cry. "You are so cute!!" Mirai covered her mouth with her free hand.

Kioko was so happy they were getting along so well. And so was hawks as he looked at them both with a smile.

"Alright you two have fun now talk about your schedules and have an introduction I'll see you both later." Hawks said as he walked out of the building to head to a mission.

"Hey could we get some coffee and talk more about this and I'm curious about your relationship with my brother?" Kioko asked.

Mirai turned red at the relationship question. "Yeah we can." She says shyly.

"That's great!" Kioko smiles as she loops her arm in Mirais and walks her to their destination. Excited by how well they are getting along.

After a few minutes they sit at a coffee shop giggling from the conversation they had on the way here.

"So tell me... what is going on with you two?" Kioko says.

"Honestly i don't know it's complicated." Mirai says as she looks up.

Kioko looked at her with sadness.

"I know I like him but I'm not sure what he thinks..." Mirai says blushing a little.

"Ooooohhh my brother can be very difficult I'm so sorry..." Kioko says "But don't worry I'll help you I'll be your wing woman!" Kioko says determined.

"Really!? Thank you but... Why..." Mirai looks at her confused but thankful.

"Why do I need a reason? Well... Because I like you! I think you'd be perfect for my brother and I always wanted an older sister! Plus I know a lot about him so I can help you by sharing info like favourite colours, or something he likes. Or I can even drop hints for him." Kioko smiles.

"You are too sweet! Thank you." Mirai says with tears in her eyes grateful.

"So tell me since you're going to help me maybe I can help you? Is there someone you like?" Mirai asks.

Kioko blushes. "Yeah but he doesn't notice... I-i liked him since we first met as kids. he's older. And We lost touch when I was 11, then well recently we met again."

Mirai looked knowingly "What's his name?"

"Kaen..." Kiokos face went even more red as she openly admits it.

"Hmm... do you think he knows you like him?" Mirai asks.

"No, no way! I don't think he even noticed we lost  touch at one point" Kioko looks sad as she mentioned that

"And then.. when I needed him most he didn't even call or check on me... I don't think he feels like that towards me. And that ok he probably just didn't want to disturb me." Kioko looks very sad.

Mirai watches Kioko  "Hey maybe next time you see him you should ask him why he didn't call. Communication is key getting that off your chest will help you figure out somethings. And hopefully bring you both closer."

"I think I will thank you Mirai. You are so wise. I'm going to see him later today." Kioko smiles.

"Oh I wish you luck then... and thank you for your advice." Mirai says.

Kioko grabs her bag "sorry I got to go but thank you! Goodbye! I can't wait to work with you!"

Kioko says as she realizes she might miss her train if she does not leave now. She runs full speed for the train station.  Thankfully she made it. 30 minutes later she see Kaens families companies building in the distance as she reaches the train stop.

She gets off the train and looks at it she hasn't been here for a while. Actually she hasn't been here since her mother needed armour for her last mission.

She wondered if Kaens family was there. Her feelings being to mix she got a little nervous yet sad. Kioko began to think about if she should get on the next train back or not when suddenly she heard a familiar voice.

"Kioko are you ok?" Kaen asks he was emotionless but some how she knew he was worried.

"I'm fine! Hi Kae how are you?" Kioko smiled trying to put her happy personality back on.

Kaen looks Kioko over as if he didn't believe her. But he doesn't say anything and walks away. Making Kioko let go of breath she didn't realize she was holding.

She follows after him silent.

"Is there something on your mind? I know when you're sad. I'll admit you've gotten a lot better at hiding it but I know you too well. No use hiding it." Kaen says suddenly.

Kioko tensed up.

" I'm not sad. I promise. How could I be sad when I get to see my childhood friend I've missed so much." Kioko smiles sweetly.

"Well then why did you look like you might burst into tears when you got off the train." Kaen looks at her as they walk towards the building.

"I just remembered the last time me and my mom came to your family's company. And I realized I haven't been here since then." Kioko admits as she lower her eyes smiling "that was all."

"I'm sorry Kioko if you need to leave I-" Kaen was cut off

"No I'm fine I promise it was just the realization. I don't want to go yet I want to see the secret base. I can't leave before I see it." Kioko says determinedly as she starts marching towards Kaens families company.
