Keeper was trying his hardest to console Page when his phone started ringing.
Page paused from crying and looked towards Keeper's phone. "Who is it?" She asked.
"Tita April," he showed her.
She closed her eyes and leaned forward. Her elbows rested on her lap while she crumpled her hair. "Answer it."
"What? Are you sure?" He frowned.
"Just answer it." The defeat in her voice was apparent.
He hesitated, but he did as he was told. "Tita April?" He inhaled subtly while he looked at his girlfriend who was still bent forward.
"Hi, Keeps. Are you with Page?" April asked on the other line.
"Yes, tita. I am." He replied. He tried not to sound distraught, but everything that was happening around him was too much even for him.
"Okay. Keeps, can I ask you a favor?" April began.
"Oo naman, tita. What is it?" He asked.
"I sent this small box for Page, pina-expedite ko para mabilis. Dumating yesterday, but ito kasing tito mo dun sinend sa bahay namin. Do you mind picking it up?" April requested.
"Oh sure, tita. Can I bring Page with me?" He asked back.
"Oo naman. Kaya ko nga tinanong kung kasama mo sya eh. I want her to open it kaagad pagka-pick up nyo. Surprise ko lang for her kasi alam mo naman, it's been stressful," April explained.
He could hear her take a deep breath over the phone. "Thanks, tita. We'll go there na ngayon," he let her know.
"Sige, Keeps. Thank you ha. Tell Page i-Facetime nyako when she has the package na," April requested.
"Okay," he replied before they said their goodbyes and ended the call.
"She said she expedited a package for you, but tito sent it sa bahay nila. Are you okay with me driving us there to pick it up? Sorry I didn't ask you kanina," he leaned towards her and gave her back a gentle rub.
"That's fine," Page said weakly. Her eyes were almost swollen shut from crying. "I'm going to take a nap while you're driving. Is that okay?"
He nodded. "Love, of course it's okay. You don't have to ask. Go ahead and rest."
She leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss on the lips before she leaned her seat backwards.
As he prepared to drive, she got settled and fell asleep almost immediately. He watched as the mental and physical fatigue took over his girlfriend's body, she didn't even get the chance to take her nun disguise off.
After almost two hours of driving, they finally arrived at April's house. Keeper figured he shouldn't wake Page up anymore, but he realized April had wanted him to call as soon as they got there. "Love," he reached for her shoulder and gently rubbed it. "We're here," he let her know.
Page slowly got up and fixed herself.
"Are you okay?" He asked and she nodded. "Ikaw?" She turned her head towards him.
"I'm okay, love. How's your head?" He asked again.
"It's pounding, but it's okay. Pwede tayong kumain after dito so I can take medicine for it," she assured him.
He nodded. "Let's go get it quickly. Tita April wants you to call her when we're here na daw. Maybe you should take that nun disguise off first?"
She agreed and started taking off the outfit sister Berlin lent her. As soon as she got everything put away neatly and out of sight, she started to call April via Facetime.
