Prompt: Little Enid refusing to wear clothes because she's overwhelmed.
CGWednesday/LittleEnid
Little age: 2 then a little under 1"No!" Enid let out a loud shrike, followed by a sob as a pink nappy was slid over her hips. "No want! No want!" She had already been forced into this stupid t-shirt.
"I know, but we can't go out without clothes on, love," Wednesday hummed, grabbing some blue shark print dungarees .
The girl in front of her sobbed louder as the buckles were done up, then some socks and trainers.
"See, is it really that bad?" When she wasn't answered, Wednesday picked her up, tapping the padded bottom softly in an attempt to silence her.
"Off!" Enid sobbed louder, pulling at the straps. She kicked her legs back and fourth, banging her head against her shoulder over and over.
"Okay! Okay, baby stop hurting yourself, I will take off the dungarees, would that be better?"
"Nd shirt!"
"And your shirt."
She lay her back down, pulling the clothes off and flinching as she saw goosebumps rose on Enid's arms.
"Is that better?"
Though still pissed about her bra and nappy, Enid deemed this worthy, rolling herself over and starting to crawl as fast as her little arms and legs would carry her out of the bathrooms.
"No you don't, little miss!" She tried to pick her up, though her attempts failed as Enid dead weighted until she was let go of. "And where do you think you are going?"
"Oko!" The girl giggled and continued her journey, managing to now make it past the bathroom door.
"You're going to auntie Yoko's?"
"Dah!"
Wednesday sighed, picking up the discarded clothes from the floor. "Can I at least put you in your carrier so you don't look naked, baby?"
Admittedly, the carrier was a patient lift sling, for hospitals, but adult baby carriers didn't exactly exist unfortunately.
"Mm, dah."
Wednesday strapped the contraption on, helping Enid in and standing up straight. It was a lot nicer to use this than actually carry her, it took a lot of the weight off her arms.
"Oko! Oko! Oko!" Enid chanted, giggling and swinging her legs, exited to be going to her aunties, maybe Eugene would be small, then they could play!
Wednesday was sure to grab a blanket before they left, tossing it over her arm and leaving the room.
"Brrr," Enid hummed when the cold air of the hall touched her legs, though she didn't mention the clothes that were also still resting on her Mama's arm.
"Wonder why."
"Donno," the pup giggled, watching the hall to Yoko and Divina's door approche.
Wednesday knocked, hearing commotion on the other side before Yoko popped her head out.
"Oh! Hi, I was just going to call you! Eugene and Xavier are playing right now and I was wondering if Enid wanted to join."
"We are playing tag!" Eugene yelled from inside, followed by a loud crash. "We were playing tag!"
The sound of Bianca lecturing the two of them rang to outside, followed by Xavier whining at her that he was okay.
"I don't think she's old enough to run around, but I'm sure we can come hang out," Wednesday let a slight smile cross her lips, trying to ignore her little who was now pulling on her braids.
Yoko fully opened the door, and Wednesday quickly took note of two fallen dressers.
"Why isn't Enid wearing a shirt?" Divina laughed lightly, spotting that she wasn't wearing any trousers from the way the frills on her nappy peaked out from the sides of the carrier.
"Oh it's right here." She tossed them onto the bed, starting to unstrap the carrier.
"That still doesn't explain why she's not wearing them."
"Yucky!" Enid giggled, slipping out from her carrier and managing to stand for a few moments before falling to her hands and knees, crawling to where the two boys were.
"Hi Enid!" Eugene grinned, sitting down next to her and booping her nose. "You look cold!"
"No! Clothes uncomfortable!"
Eugene shrugged, realising how small Enid was and standing back up to have a nerf war with Xavier.
"How long are you going to make life like this for your amazing Mama, hm?" Yoko laughed, brining Enid out of the danger zone and onto a play mat in the corner.
"Ever!"
"You sure are trying to achieve that, aren't you?"
Enid picked up one of the radles, sending it hurtling in Wednesday's direction, who caught it with little struggle.
"Mine!"
"You threw it."
Enid turned away grouchily. This day was going to be absolutely horrible if her mother kept up this attitude.
