It Costs to Love the Boss

Chapter 5.

I patiently waited in the living room while Bentley sat right next to me on the couch. We were watching cartoons together actually. While I sat there I still couldn't believe she just left me here. I mean I know this is my job now but how do she know I didn't have anywhere else to go. Anyway while watching TV I peeped over at Bentley whining.

"Hey buddy,"I said,"You hungry?"

I decided to go into the kitchen to find the dog something to eat because he look like he needed to be fed. I pulled out the food and the two dishes for his water and food. Then after I fixed it for him I gave him his food and sat right back on the couch to finish my cartoons.

I've been in the studio all day and I must say that I am exhausted. We've been working non stop since I've made it here. I was sitting on the couch on my phone texting while Babyface had his feet propped up on the recording board. As I glanced up at him I laughed watching him practically sleep. I put my phone down and walked over to him. Then I yelled in his ear scaring the crap out of him.

"Oh shit Toni damn,"he said.

"Someone's sleepy," I said making fun of him.

"Ha real funny and I wasn't sleep,"he said,"I was resting my eyes."

"Yea whatever,"I said.

"I'm serious,"he said.

"Well I guess we should both be heading out now" I said walking towards the door.

"Alright T" Kenny said

" But before I leave Ken , how's the single coming along" I asked putting my purse down,"Really?"

"Great but how's the assistant coming along?" He asked trying not to laugh.

"Ken don't even start with me like that,"I started,"But she's doing okay."

"What does that mean?"He asked.

"Well today she almost tore down all the pictures off of my wall unit trying to be nosey," I said,"But she cleaned my house which is good for a start."

"Oh really?"he said.

"Yea but I gave her a lot of house work to do today so she should still be at my house,"I said.

"Damn Toni you trust her enough to just leave her at your house by herself on the first day?"he asked.

"I mean like it's not like she can do anything I have surveillance cameras all over my house well except for the bedroom,"I admitted.

"Why not the bedroom?"he asked.

"Because I do stuff in my bedroom,"I said.

"I should have never asked,"he said,"Too much information."

"Well goodnight Ken,"I said hugging him.

"Alright drive home safely,"he said.

"Okay,"I said.

I finally left the studio and went home. When I got there I saw that the house was clean and I was very impressed. Then I saw that she did all of my shopping for me but I didn't see her so I went looking for her. When I found her she was out by the pool with Bentley.

"Hey,"I said interrupting.

"Oh hey sorry,"she said.

"No need for a sorry you're good um you can go home now,"I said.

"Oh okay um thanks again for the job,"she said.

"Yea,"I said.

"Here you go,"she said handing me Bentley,"I'll go grab my stuff and leave now."
