In the day to day life of a specific scribe, the only form of comfort he had was his books... and his memories.

The memories of the past. Though everything else around him was bothersome, why would his memories of one specific time in his life give him such comfort?
Because of him.

"Senior Kaveh."

"Haitham!! There you are,finally!!"

"Why are you yelling? It's 9am.."

"You--!! Whatever. Come with me to the library."

"...Why?"

"Why ask why?Is there something wrong?"

"No, I just know you. You'd rather study in the outdoors, on a bench with a good view of nature. Not in some stuffy library."

"W-What..?"

"I'm guessing the only reason you want me to go with you to the library, is so that I can read to my heart's content while you fall asleep on my shoulder."

"That isn't true--!!"

"You're turning red. It's obvious."

"...So what? It's a win-win for us!"

"I never said no."

"Then...why make it seem like a big deal?!"

"Cause...you're cute when you try to hide the truth."

"I really can't stand your personality, Haitham."

"Neither can I but I don't complain. Now,are we going to the library or not?"

"Hmph. Fine.We don't have time to waste. Come on."

"I'm not a child.I don't need to hold your hand."

"But I am your Senior. Don't be all grumpy~!"

"You're so embarrassing, Senior Kaveh..."

Alhaitham's eyes fluttered as he roused from his slumber. He was met with his ceiling and blurred peripherals. What a dream.

He slowly sat up and rubbed the back of his neck, observing his surroundings. His living room. One decorated without his control. He had accidently fallen asleep on the couch, a book in his hands.

Though, he didn't remember being covered in beige coloured blankets with a specific, red pattern stitched into the rims. He could hear it in his head already. How he could've gotten a cold for not covering up well.

He swung his legs off the couch and stood up, raising his arms above his head to stretch. The house was oddly quiet...except for the sounds of pots and pans in the kitchen.

Alhaitham ran his hand through his hair as he went over to the kitchen, leaning on the doorway with his arms crossed.

There he was,one of the biggest bothers in Alhaitham's life, though...essential to his comforting memories.Kaveh.It was his 'roommate'. The one making such a racket in the kitchen, cooking.

"Ah. You're awake. Next time, sleep with blankets."

Kaveh sighed, glancing Alhaitham's way only to turn his attention back to the food he was making.

"All you do is nag."

Alhaitham groaned, fighting the urge to roll his eyes.Kaveh sharply inhaled but didn't respond, though his brows knitted in irritation.

The scribe bit his lip, hiding his smirk.
No one but the roommates knew it, but Kaveh and Alhaitham were in a relationship.

Other than their status, nothing changed between them. They'd still bicker, but it more playful than anything...for Alhaitham atleast. It was funny to him, Kaveh was a bother but the mere memories of him were his comforts.
