Clara wasn't supposed to have the life she had. When she was eleven, she found out she was supposed to be living in Quebec, Canada with a mother who she got her middle name from. She wasn't supposed to be the daughter of Sally Jackson, who didn't change her last name and always excused it to her father wanting her to keep her own. No one told her it was because she was honoring her dead mother without knowing it. Not until she was eleven, where the truth for her and her ( apparent ) half-brother Percy came to light. Where Clara found out why her last name was Beaumont, why she looked so different than Percy, and why they both always felt connected to water.

Now Clara was fifteen years old. But she wasn't just a regular fifteen year old girl. She was Clara Beaumont, daughter of Poseidon, savior of Olympus alongside her older brother, Percy Jackson. She was a child who wasn't meant to exist, her more than her brother. After all, one child Poseidon can pass off as a simple mistake. The second one is where he messed up on having. Clara always knew her father's life would've been easier without the burden of two kids. But deep down, she still realized he loved her. He certainly loved her enough to put her in a loving home with someone, who although wasn't her mother and she knew it, treated her like a daughter and loved her like she loved Percy.

After the war, Clara and Percy finally started living regular lives. She got accepted into dance school in New York, he was attending Goode High School, their activities at camp were only now for practice and no longer preparing them for war, Percy had his girlfriend, Clara and her never ending crush on Travis Stoll, things were looking up. They returned to Camp Half-blood during their winter break for a few days, to spend a while with their friends before Christmas.

        Then Percy disappeared a day after they arrived.

ok ok ok, i know a daughter of poseidon x jason grace trope is SO overused especially w being percy's sibling but i had the idea and thought to add my own creative twist to it! its basic but i believe basic things are basic for a reason (because they're good!). so please give this book a chance and hopefully you'll love it! <3
