Once inside the room Jungkook took off his jacket and cast it to the side, not caring where it landed. Shaking his hands, wringing out his fingers he walked back and forth. His tears had dried up and he was left with the aftershock of the conversation with Jae."Kook?" Jimin stood behind him. Worry etched into his features as he watched the boy pace back and forth in the room. "What did he say?"
Biting at his nails now he sat down on the edge of his bed. Losing himself in his thoughts as he stared straight ahead, zoning out on the floor. He felt Jimin take a seat beside him, but other than that he was too lost in Jae's words.
He didn't care that the other knew. Jae was a sick person who needed help. What did he even do to garnish this type of attention from the elder? Rejecting his friendship? But it wasn't just friendship that Jae was offering. Jungkook wasn't naive, he knew that Jae wanted more from him. And he'd never get it. So that was it? All this mess because he denied any type of relationship.
Yeah, Jae needed help. Professional help.
Jungkook was worried, not for himself. He had come to terms with his past with Taehyung. Had faced it and overcame it. What he was worried for was how Taehyung would react. Even though Tae was doing much better with his guilt, Jungkook was scared that this would set him back.
Too lost in his head he didn't notice that the other two had entered the room, not until Tae blocked his vision as he kneeled before him and he heard his Yoongi hyungs voice coming from his right.
Shoving the hands off of him he felt suffocated and a slight irritation was pinging around inside him like a pinball machine. "I'm not weak" he murmured loud enough for the three to hear. "I'm not some small child that needs all this coddling. I'm just frustrated"
"Nobody said you were weak Kook" Yoongi spoke softly. "We're worried for you that's all."
Seeing his hyung's eyes he knew he was lying. He knew how Yoongi saw him. Like some small child that needed protecting, it pissed him off. It wasn't his fault though, his hyung had grown this way, became accustomed to it.
Jungkook fell back amongst his bedding and lied there staring at the ceiling while ignoring the three who looked at him with concern.
"Baby, can you talk to us? You're worrying me love" Tae had stood now, looking down at Jungkook. His anger towards Jae was becoming erratic with Jungkooks reaction. He wasn't sure if he should go and rip Jae's head off or stay here with the smaller.
Closing his eyes, Jungkook let out a long breath he had been holding. Even though he looked calm right now he was anything but. A war was breaking out in his head, anxiety taking over. Going over how to tell Taehyung that Jae knew about their past. He was terrified that Tae would revert to that night and want to leave him or try to make Jungkook break up with him. He didn't want that. How could he?
"Jungkook!" Yoongi yelled and shook his arm. "Open your damn mouth and talk!!"
Flinching at his hyung with his eyes popping open, another stressor was added to his already worrying mind. Now he had Yoongi who had witnessed things as well. Why couldn't he just have a peaceful life?
Taehyung's gaze shifted towards Yoongi. "Can you not yell at him?"
"Are you serious right now?" Standing up to face Taehyung, Yoongi straightened his shoulders. Taking his anger out on the younger, years of hate towards Taehyung was boiling over inside of him. He grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him in close. Yanking him harshly forward so their faces were a mere inches apart. "I think you've forgotten your place here Kim. Just because he's forgiven you doesn't mean I have. Don't mistake earlier for anything but what it was."
