"healed up nicely." the doctor compliments as he finishes examining chan's leg.

"so i'm good to go?" he asks, his voice hopeful. i knew he couldn't take any more rest.

"well, it'll feel a little weak, so just be cautious of that." she warns.

"yeah, okay." chan nods, though i wasn't really sure if he had listened. i knew he was ready to get back to his usual self. he wanted to finish off the final leg of the tour strong. i watch carefully as he jumps off the bed, already starting to stretch the leg.

"anymore questions for me?" the doctor asks as she gathers all of her things.

"nope. all good." the manager speaks up, causing me to automatically roll my eyes. i couldn't help it at this point. chan likely wouldn't even be in this cast if it weren't for him. we all bid the doctor goodbye, collecting our things before heading back to the lobby, meeting the body guards so that we could walk to the car.

since chan had kept fans in the loop of his healing process, a lot of them had found out when he'd be getting the cast off, so they decided to show up for support. despite the fact that it actually added much more stress for chan, though he'd never admit it.

"back to the dorms, i assume?" the driver asks as we climb in the car.

"actually, jyp, please." chan tells him.

"why are we going there?" i whisper to him, knowing the rest of the guys were in the dorms, resting up before their flight to japan.

"just wanna practice a little." he shrugs.

"chan..."

"just for a little. it won't be long, baby girl." he pulls a smirk towards the end of his sentence, sending shivers down my body at the implication.

"i just... i don't think you should jump right back into it. let's just go home, do some stretching-"

"baby girl, don't worry, i'll stretch you out soon enough-"

"chan! i'm serious." i slap his arm, pulling a series of chuckles from him.

"so am i." he whispers.

"christopher bang."

"oho— my full name, i'm in trouble." he laughs, holding his hands up defensively. i send him a glare, groaning as the car comes to a stop outside of the company like chan had asked. "come on." he motions for me to follow as he climbs out his side of the car. i only roll my eyes, begrudgingly pushing my door open and climbing out. "wipe that pout off your face." he chuckles, coming around, linking his arm with mine as we walk into the building.

"i'm not pouting." i grumble.

"you definitely are. i don't know why, this is a good day. a great day even." he states happily, pulling the two of us into the elevator.

"i just think you should be taking it slow."

"you're very adorable when you're worried about me." he smiles, cupping my face in his hands as the elevator door whirls shut.

"whatever." i roll my eyes, pushing his arms away.

"hey. i let it slide in the car because the driver and manager, but no one is in this elevator. so i suggest you cool that attitude of yours." he challenges, cocking a brow at me.

"is it a rule to not be worried about you now?" i huff, crossing my arms over my chest. chan sighs.

"hey, miyeon... relax, okay? i'm fine, a little bit of practice isn't going to hurt me. i'm not made of glass." he reassures, placing his hands back on my face. "have some faith in me, okay?"

"fine." i sigh, leaning into his touch.

"that's it, good girl..." he coos, pulling me into his chest, wrapping his arms around me in a warm embrace. the hug ends just as quickly as it started as the ding of the elevator sounds through the room, the door whirring apart as we reach our desired floor.

"one hour." i tell him, following him out to the practice room.

"yes ma'am."

"there you are. i thought you were coming back here after your appointment?" minho questions us as soon as we walk through the door.

"we were supposed to." i shrug, minho giving a quizzical look to chan.

"i just wanted to practice a bit before tomorrow." he explains, patting minho on the shoulder as he slides by him. minho looks back at me with a cocked eyebrow, i could only shrug, moving to follow chan into the living room. "hey minho, are the guys up for a movie?" he suddenly asks.

"um... probably not. they're all getting ready for bed. we have an early flight." he explains.

"right. miyeon, wanna watch with me?" he asks, looking at me with a hopeful expression. minho and i exchange a quick glance. he quickly bids me goodnight, leaving chan and i alone in the living room.

"chan, maybe we should go to bed." i suggest, walking around behind the couch, gently wrapping my arms around his neck.

"you can. i'm in the mood to watch a movie." he chuckles, brushing off my touch.

"chan come on, it's late." i urge him.

"i said i don't want to." he snaps suddenly, his harsh tone catching me off guard.

"fine." i scoff, marching towards my shared room with felix. i hear chan scoff back at me, but nothing else. what is his problem today?

"hey stranger." felix greets me with a chuckle as soon as i close the door behind me. "you okay?" he asks with furrowed brows.

"chan's got a stick up his ass." i grunt.

"not surprising." he chuckles. "i take it that means you're staying in here tonight?"

"yup."

"hey, don't sweat it. i'm sure it's just nerves. you know,
performing again after being out for as long as he was." felix comforts.

"doesn't mean he should be an ass." i grumble, climbing into my bed.

"yeah, well sometimes chan is an ass. it's just, usually you're the one that deals with it." felix shrugs, climbing into his bed as well.

"yeah... why is that?" i ask, fixing my gaze on the ceiling.

"well he— i don't know."

"yeah, well maybe i'm sick of it. he can find someone else to tame his big bad wolf." i scoff, turning over in bed to face the wall.

"are you still coming to japan with us tomorrow?" he changes the subject.

"yeah. i'm going for you and the other guys. not chan." i hear felix sigh quietly.

"alright. get some rest."

"you too." i reply.
