•chapter 18•

Suttons POV:
it's been 2 weeks since Koe broke up with Bailey and I think he's taking it well. his sisters and parents are coming today for a week, and then two days after they leave he goes out for his tour. (btw this takes place in 2023) I don't know what i'm going to do when he leaves. maybe go stay with Hallie for a bit. I mean she could always use a good friend while my brother is away.

I was in my room when I heard Koe yell for me to come downstairs. I hopped out of bed and ran down the stairs to meet my friends family. the first to arrive was his sister Zoie Kate or ZK and her friend Sadie. I've met ZK before because she's a freshman at Texas Tech, which is located in Lubbock. I've also met her friend a few times as well. with Koe opening this bar soon, Zk said we'd probably be hanging out more. which is ok with me because she's funnier than her brother is. don't tell him I said that.

finally after 3 hours Koes parents, Gary Dale and Julie and his sister and her husband Brantley and Presleigh show up. Brantley and Presleigh are taking my room and Gary Dale and Julie are taking the other spare room so I have to bunk with Koe. not like I haven't been any way. somehow one of us always ends in the others bed. and it's not in a coupley way, more of a 'I need some comfort from you' way.

"Sutton how's your brother doing?" Julie asked me while we were at dinner.

"he's good! he just left for tour this weekend so" I reply, giving the older woman a smile.

"mom. come on let's not talk about Parker" Koe interrupted, rubbing the bridge of his nose in an annoyed way. I shot him a glare which caused his dad to laugh.

"what's so funny dad?" Presleigh asked.

"that's the exact look your mom gives me all the time" he says, laughter still spilling out of him just lighter.

I look at the man shocked. "oh that's not what's going on" Koe rushes to get out.

"Gary, Koes with Bailey again." Julie tells her husband.

"no. I'm not mom we broke up two weeks ago" Koe shakes his head. I give him a quick rub on his back while no one was looking. he sends me a half smile and gets back to eating his steak.

after dinner we all head back to Koes house, me him Zk and Sadie in Koes truck and the other four in Gary's truck. once we finally make it back to the house I go upstairs to move my stuff into Koes room. In the middle of packing some clothes into a bag Presleigh comes in.

"sorry for taking over your room" she apologizes, giving me a smile.

I smile back at the woman, "don't worry about it."

"hey Pres can you give me and Sutton a minute?" Koe asked his younger sister. he stood standing in the door way as Presleigh walks out. he enters my room giving me a smile, sitting down on my bed like he has many times before. "are you sure you're going to be ok with sharing a bed for a week?" he asked me.

I put a shirt in my bag and look at the tattooed man. I nod my head yes. he opens his arms and motions for me to walk over to him. I walk over, positioning myself right between his thighs. his arms snake around my waist landing on my back, right above my ass. shivers go up my spine. Koe doesn't know the effect he has on me. and I pray he never does. He looks down at his legs, thinking about something before looking back up to me.

"do you want help packing?" he asks.

I shake my head no "i'm almost done, just need to get my shower stuff and then I'll be done" he nods his head standing up. the whole time making eye contact with me.

finally he moves his hands off my hips, grabbing my bag and pulling away from me all at once. eventually he walks out of my room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. thoughts that I didn't want to be having about the man I'll be sleeping with for a week.

I finish packing my shower supplies and carry it to Koes room, putting it in the bathroom.

3 hours later.
It's currently 11 pm and Julie and Gary Dale just went to bed and Zk and Sadie went to some sort of college party.

"all right love birds I'm going to my
room" Koe says, standing up. I follow his actions and stand up, saying goodnight to Presleigh and Brantley. by the time I'm done saying good night to the two Koes already in his room getting undressed.

"I should've knocked my bad" I turn my head to look towards the door.

"don't act like it's not something you haven't seen before Sutty" Koe lets out a deep laugh. my face goes pink as I turn around. "Im talking about how I sleep at night, get your mind out of the gutter."

My face goes even more red and I grab my bag and head toward the bathroom. I turn the shower water on and let it heat up while I get undressed. maybe this shower will help get these thoughts out of my
head.

after my shower I get dressed and do my skin care, brush my hair and my teeth before walking out to Koes room. when I get out he's laying in his bed, covers pulled up to just
over his stomach scrolling on his phone with mean girls playing on the TV. wow he is a girl. I laugh and take a video of the man to post on my insta story with the caption '@koe_wetzel in his natural habitat' I laugh at the video and show it to
Koe before I post. just in case. I wouldn't want to make the man I'm
sharing a bed with mad. he laughs at the video and tells me I can post it.

"you don't have to ask my permission to post stuff Sutton. just as long as I'm not naked or doing something that could jeopardize my
career"

I smile at the boy and crawl in his bed. pulling the covers over myself and cuddling into Koe. my head on his chest and one hand on his bicep. his arm wrapped around my waist and the other slung over me. I think I could get used to this for a week. well I'm already used to it but you know what I mean.

koes POV:
it didn't take Sutton long to fall asleep. I take a picture of her sleeping to post on my instagram story. people already think we're dating so why not push the rumors further. also there's worse rumors to be spread.

Suttons POV:
I woke up this morning to a bunch of new follow requests. I didn't realize why until I looked at Koes story. I reposted it and took a picture of him sleeping to post on my story.
