•chapter 20•

Suttons POV~
waking up half naked in Koe Wetzels bed is something I never thought would happen. last night almost feels like a fever dream. and I would think it was if it wasn't for the hickeys trailing down my body. and the scratch marks covering Koes back, that was currently facing me. he was standing up putting on a shirt, which is what caused me to wake up from my deep sleep. my head is pounding and it's most definitely from all I drank last night.

I finally got up from bed. i had been laying in it, staring at the wall for about 20 minutes. I don't know where Koe is, I'm pretty sure he left this morning. probably to go somewhere with one of his family members. or he's just trying to avoid me.

I walk downstairs and Julie and Pres are on the couch, watching some sort of show on the tv. I join them, throwing a blanket over myself. after about 20 minutes the guys walk back in.

"Pres do you want to come with me to get some stuff from the store?"

"didn't you just go to the store" I ask the man.

"no we went to help Zk with some stuff in her dorm" Gary Dale responds. Koe still hasn't walked through the door, probably out in his truck still.

"is it ok if I come with?" Julie asks her son in law. he nods his head yes and Gary Dale turns to go with them.

about 3 minutes after they leave Koe walks in the door and walks over to the couch. "hey Sutt." he says as he lays on me.

I reply with a hey and throw an arm over him and put the other in his hair, throwing his hat next to us. after about 10 minutes he's asleep. I fall asleep not to long after.

I woke up and again Koe is gone. I have no idea where he went, again. I hear some yelling coming from outside so I figure that's where everyone else is. I walk to the back door to see everyone except Gary and Julie in the pool. I walk out and great Zk and Sadie.

"Sutton I missed you" Sadie said coming to give me a hug. I return the favor and tell her I missed her aswell. then I tell Zk the same thing.

"how was your nap?" Julie asks me. I tell her it was good and turn back towards the door. I walk upstairs to put on my swimsuit. Once I'm done changing and about to walk out the room door I'm met by a certain someone.

"are you ok Sutton?" Koe asks me.
I tell him yes and try to squeeze out the door. "Sutton why are you ignoring me?"

"i'm not ignoring you I just want to go swim"

"is it because of last night?" now his hands are on the lower part of my back.

"no. i thought you were avoiding me" i sigh out.

Koe looks at me with sadness in his eyes, and a little bit of shock. "no Sutton, of course not. I'm sorry Zoie called my dad this morning and then he came and asked me if I wanted to come with to help her. so I told him yes. then when I woke up from our nap Pres asked if I wanted to swim. I didn't want to wake you up because I thought you could use the sleep. I'm so sorry I made you feel that way" he says genuinely.

"it's ok Koe, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. thank you for clearing that up"

we walk back downstairs to the door that leads to the backyard. "Sutton would you....?"

I KNOW I HAVE BEEN GONE FOR SO LONG AND THIS IS A SHORT CHAPTER BUT  IM SORRY?
