Jay arrived back to the station, his mind racing because of the call earlier. He's completely unaware of his surroundings, not being able to think straight.
He descends up the elevator in complete silence. All that he can think about is that phone call. The elevator stops at the third floor. Jay gets off and walks towards Sarah's office. He opens the door, to which she immediately notices him.
"Commander, you're back." She says, relieved he's back, but she gets a little worried when she sees the look on his face. Jay takes his phone out of his pocket, giving it to Sarah.
"I got a phone call... It was the kidnapper." Jay says his eyes unfocussed. Sarah notices how wide blown his pupils are as she takes his phone. "Did they give any important information out?"
Jay just shakes his head, "Nothing.. Just that she's with him. I couldn't pick up on any background noises for possible clues... Just total silence." Sarah's eyes go soft as he says that, she feels extremely bad for him.
She doesn't know how he feels inside, but she can just imagine how torn apart he is. "I might not be able to do much... but I can track the number." She takes his phone and walks over to her computer, sitting down and starting to type on her keyboard.
Jay sits down on the chair in front of her desk, waiting while she's busy typing on her computer. Every now and then, she steals glances at him, admiring his face. Jay does not look at her; he just stares at his hands.
Sarah looks at his eyes again. 'His eyes look so... empty. Like he doesn't have any life behind them..' She feels bad, she wishes she could relieve some of the heartache, but she knows nothing can fix this if it doesn't involve getting Charlie back.
Despite him looking like a walking corpse, he's still handsome; his bright blue eyes, short jet-black hair, sharp jawline and his voice... That deep, American, husky voice when he speaks.
Sarah admits she has a crush on the 29-year-old. But she knows he won't be with her because he has Charlie, who he loves endlessly.
She's actually jealous of Charlie. Charlie married the perfect package; a handsome face, perfect body, the soft romantic type but Sarah can only guess that he is a total Dom behind the scenes.
Charlie and Sarah were good friends. not best friends, but they got along pretty well. Sarah was one of the bridesmaids at Charlie and Jay's wedding.
She's wanted Jay ever since she picked him up 2 years ago at the military base. The way his uniform complimented his facial features. His almost too short cut hair and striking blue eyes.
Sarah doesn't think she'll never stop wanting him, even though he'll never want her.
But she sure does wish that one day... one day.
She looks away from him, typing further on her computer. Sarah types the number in the system. While it processing the number and scans for the location of the call, she looks over to Jay again.
He's changed his position.
Jay was sitting with one leg over the other, his arm propped up on the armrest, his head laying on the arm on the armrest.
His eyes closed.
She immediately sees he's asleep. His chest rising slowly at a slow pace before falling. She smiles to herself as she sees him sleeping peacefully.
Her computer dings, signalling it found the location of the call.
She looks over to the screen, reading the coordinates, looking back over to Jay, who was thankfully still asleep. She writes the coordinates down on a paper, getting up from desk and walking towards David's office.
