In Search Of You

THE INTERROGATION

Jay waited outside his office for Kendall to change into other clothes.

He thinked back to that day.

The day their lives changed.

He remembered how ruined Kendall was that night. How emotionless his eyes were.

Kendall was ruined that day. After his psychotic episode wore off a few hours later, he couldn't remember what happened.

Jay remembered how confused and distraught Kendall was when he finally came to his right mind and remembered what happened during his episode.

Jay tried not to think of that day, he didn't want to think of it.. He rather wanted focused on the case, thinking of why Juarez was in his interrogation room.

He's mad at David and Sarah for not doing more research on Juarez before bringing him in.

They did a sloppy job and his whole unit could be in trouble now because of their mistake.

At that moment, Kendall came out of his office, freezing in his tracks as he saw Jay waiting for him.

Jay's eyes roamed over Kendall's body, seeing he looks completely different now as he changed from his formal uniform to combat boots, black cargo pants and black t-shirt.

Kendall relaxed as he saw it was just Jay there. "Jesus, man... I thought you were in the interrogation room."

Kendall says as he slipped his phone in his pocket.

"Changed my mind." Jay says as he gets off the wall, walking towards the elevator as Kendall follows behind.

They go to the interrogation room. The rooms were beneath the building. Concrete walls were built, dividing the big room into smaller separate rooms for interrogations.

It was quiet, you could hear your footsteps as it echoed along the corridor.

Jay looked every now and then back at Kendall over his shoulder as they walked.

He saw he was reading the case file Sarah provided of Juarez while they walked, not looking in front of him.

They got to the room pretty quickly, meeting Sarah outside the door.

Sarah was looking at them as they came closer, "You sure look better, Rear Admiral." Sarah says as her arms were crossed in front of her chest.

She looked him up and down, seeing his change of clothes as she had a slight seductive look in her eyes.

Jay took notice of the way she was basically eating Kendall up with her eyes.

"Mrs. Blyde, please do focus on the case at hand and don't try to get into my pants." Kendall says disinterested, he closes the file and looks plainly at her, he looks at Jay.

"Juarez is in there right?" Kendall asks Jay, ignoring Sarah.

"Juarez is i-" Sarah begins, but gets cut off by Kendall who held his hand up, he looked over to her.

"I wasn't asking you.." Kendall glares at her before he looks back at Jay.

Jay nods his head, motioning for him that he can go in.

Kendall moves past them and enters the room without knocking, shutting the door once he's inside.

Sarah scoffed and started walking away, "Sarah." Jay calls out to her.

She stopped and turned to look at him, clearly displeased with the way Kendall spoke to her. "Yes sir?"

Jay closed the distance between them as he stared at her coldly.
