My eyes were still puffy but George kept telling me I looked good. We headed downstairs and went into the living room. Maria was there playing with Lily and she looked up at us.
"You guys look good" she smirked and George laughed.
"We're gonna go on our date now" George and we both kissed Lily's forehead making her giggle.
We both said bye and left the house. George opened the door for me and helped me in before running to his side and getting in.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"That's a surprise baby" he smirked and continued driving.
Soon we ended up in the middle of the woods.
"You're not gonna kill me right" I teased and he laughed and shook his head.
"No i'm not gonna kill you" he laughed and got out of the car.
He opened the passenger door for me and put out a hand for me. I grabbed it and got out. He put his hand on the small of back and lead me through a trail.
My eyes widened when I saw a blanket with tons of food and roses everywhere.
I love roses.
"How did you know?" I said picking up one of the roses.
"You mentioned it in class that day when we had nothing to do"
*Flashback*
"Okay, what's your favorite flower" I asked him."Don't have one" George shrugged.
"Really? I like roses, wait no I love roses. They're so pretty!" I smiled and he was just staring into my eyes.
"You look so pretty" he mumbled quietly making sure I didn't hear.
"Huh"
"Nothing"
*flashback over*
He remembered. He remembered a small detail about me.
"I love you" I turned around and jumped on him and making him stumble a little because it was unexpected but he stabled.
"I love you too" he kissed my forehead and set me down.
"Come on let's eat" George said and brought me over to the blanket.
We both sat down and George started taking out some stuff to eat. He took out chocolate strawberries and my eyes widened. I loved those ever since I was a kid. Haven't had them since my mom died.
I decided to push those thoughts aside and looked up at George. He was already staring at me.
I giggled, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You don't realize how pretty you are. You know... I used to watch my parents dance in the living room and I would watch them on the stairs. They have always been so perfectly in love since their senior year of high school. I didn't think I would ever find love like that. But I did, with you" he said smiling.
