This chapter is clearing up the whole adoption thing kind of okay

"Do you want to go your father's funeral" George's head was on my stomach while i played with his hair.

"I do, but only for little bit. He was still my father" I wiped a stray tear from my cheek.

George sat up and pulled me onto his lap, "Okay, we can go. It's in a few hours"

I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder as he rubbed my back up and down.

The door opened and Maria came in with a few papers in her hand. She smiled at me and George before coming up next to me.

"I need you to sign these so we can be your guardians" Maria handed me a pen.

I quickly signed my name on the papers and smiled up at her, "Thank you so much for doing this, I don't know what I would do without all your help"

"There's no need to thank us Vivian, after all you've been through, this was the least we could do" Maria smiled and brushed some hair out of my face.

I got up from the bed and hugged her tightly. She hugged back immediately before she heard Lily calling her and she stepped back.

She left the room with the papers and I turned back to George.

"You think it's weird that we will technically be siblings" I tilted my head.

George laughed and grabbed me by the waist pulling me on top of him, "We will not be siblings, my parents are your guardian. It's not like we'd be biologically related because of a paper"

"I know, I was just joking" I kissed him quickly and then got off him, "Okay let's get ready for this funeral"

George got up from the bed and we both went into his closet. I picked out my black long sleeve dress that I had bought a while ago while George took out a black 3 piece suit.

We both changed and I fixed my hair and put on a little mascara.

"Sit down" I told George and he sat down in the bed. I fixed his hair since it was all over the place and he leaned his forehead on my chest.

"Okay, let's go" I picked his head up and had him look at me. He smirked and stood so he was towering over me. I blushed and turned, grabbing his hand and leading him downstairs.

We both got downstairs, put our shoes on and left out the door. I was heading to George's car but he pulled me back, "Let's take a different car"

I furrowed my eyebrows but followed him to the garage which he opened.

"Holy shit" I looked at the fucking millions of cars lined up.

"Sometimes I forget you're rich" I mumbled.

George smirked and grabbed a key from the hanger before leading me to a black Porsche.

"This is one of my sports cars, so let's pull up in style" He winked at me before opening the door for me to get in.

"It's a funeral, why should we 'pull up in style'" I mimicked him.

"To show how much better you are than him" George started the car up.

He raced out of the driveway and onto the road making me giggle. He started playing music and we both sang along while he raced down the highway, swerving through cars.
(A/N it's obviously white girl music let's be real)

We finally arrived at the church with people filing inside, "Damn I didn't know this many people loved my dad"

"Wanna bet on how many of them are his drunk friends, or how many he owes money too?" George grinned.

"Fucking asshole" I smiled at him and got out of the car without him opening the door for me.

"And that was the wrong move" George got out of the car and stood besides me.

"Sorry" I smirked and grabbed his hand. I walked into the church and went to the front where there was a security man.

"Who are you to Mr. Carter?" He stopped me.

"His daughter" I sighed.

"I'm so sorry for your loss Ms. Carter" He moved aside.

"Not much to lose" I whispered to myself and George snickered behind me.

He wrapped an arm around my waist and led me through until we got to the front with the casket.

My father lying inside.

I didn't feel any sadness like I expected. I only felt rage and anger, I wanted him to hurt like he hurt me.

"Can I hit him, is that rude even though he's dead?" I looked up at George.

"Honestly, I don't think anyone cares. Go ahead baby" George kept an arm wrapped around me.

I let out a breath and lifted my arm up before hitting his face. Pain immediately went through my hand and George grabbed it, rubbing it to make it feel better.

"Shit that hurt!" I whisper shouted.

"Sorry, should've warned you" George kissed my head and walked backwards towards our seats to sit down.

"I feel better though, even though that's obviously not everything he did to me" I sighed while George rubbed my knuckles.

We sat for a while until people started to quiet down when a man came up to start speaking.

"Today we are here to mourn the loss of this amazing man, Jack Carter. He was a husband, a widower, and a father." He continued speaking for a while.

"Vivian would you like to come up and say something about your father?" The man asked.

I took a deep breath before getting up and heading to the stand.

"I have nothing prepared for this because I didn't think I would come here and definitely didn't think I would be speaking. However, I want to say my opinion about the man who raised me. And I think that he is a fucking asshole who had nothing better to do than to get drunk and beat his daughter just because he lost his wife. But I lost a mother. So enjoy the food and booze that all of you are here for anyways" I stepped down and grabbed George's hand.

We both walked out of the church and I burst into laughter, "That was the worst speech ever"

"I thought it was pretty good" George smirked.

"Shut up" I laughed and hugged him.

"Come on, let's go home or I can find an empty road and speed down it, or the highway?" George pulled back from the hug and opened the door for me.

"Both empty road and highway, let's wait till dark for the highway" I smiled and got in the car.

George started the car when he got in and sped out of the parking lot.

He drove around until he found an empty road, "Ready?"

I nodded and George pressed on the gas and controlled the stick. I turned on the music and laughed while he drifted.

Soon he stopped the car and we both sat there with the music blasting. I got out of the car and started dancing and George got out grabbing my hands and jumping up and down with me.

We danced around and George lifted me swinging me around. I laughed and hugged him tightly.

"I love you so much George" I smiled and kissed him.

After a while he pulled back, "I love you too"
